Any great goings-on to do within Portland OR?
Heading up to P-town this weekend to visit the saturday open market. is there any place you recommend me visit or seeing? i like places that are exceptional and not so much of the touristical places.

Go to the city. The city is great.
Also try renting a car, but ask for a GPS system. It tell you all sorts of places!

I don't live there anymore, but I bet you can find a million things to do.
Powell's Books. Its the largest independent bookstore in the world. I could spend adjectives day surrounded by there.
After the Saturday Market, get on the Burnside Tri Met bus going east and bring off where on earth it meets Sandy Blvd. Your busdriver will relieve you out. Go to eat at Old Wives Tales. It's a wonderful eclectric household restaurant with the prominence on vegetarian entrees. If you're not a lacto-vegetarian don't pass it by because their salad block and Hungarian Mushroom soup is to die for. If you have kids, they enjoy a playroom.
In the evening, if you're over 21 go to NW Portland and come first to McMenamins Pub. This microbrewery has 100's of great local beers such as raspberry beer and wheat beer. Hmmmm.
On Sunday after you go and get up, head over to Forest Park. This is an amazing mega acre park made up of rolling lawns and acres and acres of wooded areas. You drive around til you find your spot, whether that be the archery inventory, or an open space to throw frisbees for your dog. Bring a picnic lunch and relax and delight in.
