101 things to do on Oahu
Hawaiian Waters Waterpark located in Kapolei
Ice Palace - the solitary ice skating rink on the island
Dave & Busters Arcade & restaurants
Get each one a snorkel and curtain at the local ABC store near your hotel. Maybe even a boogie board for them to float on. Take them to several beach over several days.
Check out the huge salt wet aquarium at the Oceanarium restaurant.
Check out the free music and hula shows at the hotel pools in the nouns, and the hula dancers up and down the main drag within the evenings. Walk all the means of access down to the zoo, and you will see lots of interesting things on the way.
Free outdoor movie and entertainment Saturday and/or Sunday evenings at "Sunset on the Beach" surrounded by Waikiki.
If you want to go to a luau, they provide free chartered bus rides to and from your hotel, so you can drink at the do to your heart's content.
Ask the concierge at your hotel for information about shuttles to Pearl Harbor. Arrange to step as early as possible, as the lines attain long. Last I saw, there be some shuttle rides for about $7, but that be 5 years ago.
Also, take the free ride to Hilo Hattie's. You will see these trollies adjectives over in Waikiki, taking on passenger at various hotels. If you be in motion to the Kodak hula show at Kapiolani Park
in the morning, at hand will be greeters for Hilo Hatties waiting for you afterward with shell leis, and offer of free rides.
Take the ride, and do a bit of shopping. There is a nice restaurant (Sam Choy's) within a block of Hilo Hattie's that make the BEST teriyaki beef.
After lunch, get put a bet on on the free bus ride over at Hilo Hattie's, and get stale at the Ala Moana Shopping Center for higher shutting shopping fun.
You can get the free bus ride fund to your hotel from there. Keep your shell lei as proof that you used it to draw from there, and don't rip off the little newspaper tag. Just find out from the driver where on earth to meet it and the time diary. I do this whenever I visit, even though I other rent a car. Why drive if within is a free ride? :-)
Rent a car for a couple of days. You want to drive east, over to see the blow hole (free), and Sea Life Park. Drive north from there to Kailua shoreline and play in the the deep.
From there, drive north along the shoreline ancient the Polynesian Cultural Center, and stop at some of the beaches along the bearing. They have restroom services, but bring some tissues in bag they are out. During the work week, the beaches are pretty much deserted. Crowded on the weekends.
Further north, consequently west to the North Shore for shaved ice.
I sent this to someone coming to call round in july...so I hope this help you too..I was born and raise in oahu...so I am sure this will give support to you plan...
This is going to be long cause I relish talking in the order of oahu cause I lived here for 22 years.
Jet skiing is FUN as long as you jump to the right people. I dont know the companies but I know contained by north shore is the best place to go spray skiing.
I see a lot of ethnic group parasailing near kaneohe/kailua side of the island where on earth haunama bay is and ocean life park.
Speaking of haunama creek. It is probably the best place and safe place to snorkel esp. if you enjoy kids. The water is nice and mellow and nearby is always fish around. A tip from a local..stir around 10:30-11am they block the parking cause they are bleak with parking in that. But it is a must go. If you turn with a tour bus to be exact always pious too. I suggest go next to a rental car so you can own all the time you want. When my household was here we go to sea existence park in the morning consequently haunama bay subsequently in the afternoon. It be filled beside fun.
Diamond head is nice to move about too it is mostly a paved road not really a march but I suggest bring water and a flash insubstantial. Manoa falls is nice to go to also makapuu lighthouse (which is practical sea vivacity park and haunama bay) and there is one close by waimea beach. It is right contained by north shore there is a nice smooth hike call waimea falls. Which is nice to go too. Waimea shoreline is my favorite beach to spend the afternoon! It has big top so a boogie board is good to bring. Waikiki is a typical tourist spot so you will see these abnormal people standing close to statues..dont stand close to them or they will grab you. and keep hold of your wallets in the neighbourhood you or you will get pit pocketed. I have that happen to me profusely of times its not fun. If you go on a dinner cruise DO NOT move about to the starlet dinner cruise...That is the worst ever. I hated it. It wasnt great. but within is this other one that is beside the starlet that is a bigger boat I believe its call the star of hawaii or something like that I hear that one is honest. Ala moana is probably the only place on the island where on earth you could get designer clothes..if your going for expensive..neiman marcus is honourable. I dont shop there I am more of a macys girl. haha. More of shopping...The aloha tower is a nice small nouns to go shopping at and to budge up on the tower is nice for a few minutes to take pictures. aloha stadium is really great for hawaii souveniers and it is pretty good and cheap but you get closely of fun stuff there. as for food...if you want hawaiian..poi bowl surrounded by ala moana is good. It is not the best but it is well-mannered to me. Polynesian cultral center is expensive but it is worth a luau and for great hawaiian food and they teach you hula dance!! and they show these guys throwing fire..I havent been here since I was 5 years behind the times. There is the hawaiian adventure hose down park its fun for kids but I am 22 and I still love that place. reatraunts to go too is great contained by waikiki..go to the cheeseburger within paradise and profusely of places in ala moana are great to budge to eat dinner. within most places you dont have to dress too apathetic..People here just wear slippers "flip flops" and shorts and a shirt. check out leonardos bakery contained by waikiki and try a malasada!
also if you go to north shore haliewa historical shops and food be in motion to matsumotos shaved ice. The best shaved rime in hawaii! try it near vanilla ice cream!! its soooo ONO "good"
and if anyone ever call you a "haole" it means white human being...so just discount the locals they can be mean to tourists my husbands from kansas and they other yell that surrounded by north shore. and if you like to run clubbing waikiki has a great dark life. Hope you delight in your time here! enjoy. Oh yeah...dont bother going to the honolulu zoo surrounded by hawaii all they enjoy is birds and a few animals that are always sleeping...so store your money unless you like birds after go for it. lol.
relish.
Oh yeah the USS missori memorial and pearl harbor are great places to visit for a historical time. I cant believe I forgot give or take a few that! (this could be a stop before you run to the aloha stadium)
also the aloha stadium is open on sit. sun. and wednesdays..they also sell malasadas!!
Also ft. derussy mesuem contained by waikiki is a great place too.
try a spam musubi while your here too! They sell them at any L&L drive within..
p.s: also ward center they have great place for designer clothes...Nordstrom rack is a angelic place to go to..I worked near for a while and loved it!!
if your coming here in the first week contained by july in kaneohe cove there is going to be a cove fest. so check that out too.
How about the marine park?
USS Missouri/Pearl Harbor?
Pineapple Maze at Dole Platation?
How 'bout run on the Grand Circle Island Tour? Or go on the Navatek 1 Sunset Buffet Dinner Cruise? Are they into Elvis? Go see Blue Hawaii The Show at the Beachcomber Hotel! Or into history step to Pearl Harbor and the Arizona Memorial. How bout pineapple at the Dole Plantation or a shave ice surrounded by North Shore?
Go to Kahala Mall and hang out! Go to Hilo Hattie's and see outfits being made while sampling the fresh liquid just as you tramp in, and btw, judgment the largest Aloha Shirt in the world!
Hope these things give a hand you!
