This is the cheapest place I ever found. Not glamerous but it is lower than or just around $100 every time I hold stayed.

I've always walk every where from here, even to Grant Park. Exercise is other good! Plus contained by the summer there is a free trolley. Go to the City of Chicago website, the trolley calendar was not up all the same for this summer when I just looked.
If you're interested within a hostel, HI chicago http://www.hichicago.org/ is right downtown and was really verbs and nice. Me and my friend had a six being room to ourselves because it was the rotten season, for $30 each. It's right downtown within the south loop.
If you want a hotel, I'd look out by OHare, hotels in chicago are pretty expensive.
I've in actuality had amazingly good luck near bidding on hotels for Chicago on Priceline. Also, it's cheaper to stay out by O'Hare. You can take the blue file from there to downtown. And, previously summer, it's the off season, so hotels are much cheaper right very soon anyway.

Don't stay downtown. It will be more expensive. Try one of the suburbs. I usually stay near Schaumburg. I say aloud near because Schaumburg is a chief shopping hub, so hotels in Schaumburg tend to be more expensive. Hotels surrounding Schaumburg tend to be more possible.
I recommend Extended Stay America. Those are usually pretty clean and adequate. Check their website directly.
