other be aware of your surrondings. Keep your bag closed/close. Try not to flaunt tecnology you may enjoy. Wearing the minis probably get some guys checking you out, not usually cute...lol
Also if contained by a group try to stay in it and own good communication to not bring lost. Safety in numbers especially at darkness. Clear of parks at night. Be warn that it will be crowed because im assuming you will be checking out Times Square and the "tourist spots".
Bring money!
If you're an American you should be fine(language barrier).Don't cross the street on green(cars WILL NOT stop for you). Never look a crazy person or a beggar within the eye because they will come right for you. If you are from overseas go on a shopping spree. Cab drivers here are relentless, unpromising driving buttholes. If you do something stupid while driving, like adjectives across without signaling, don't expect someone not to curse at you at the red lighting. Last but not least, us New Yorkers are not as niggardly as everyone says.
scrutinize yourself.
people WILL try to rob/pick pocket you
it is cold
it is VERY EXPENSIVE (food, clothing, undertakings, everything)
Well, my advice would be to enjoy your trip planned, it helps near figuring transportation and a timeline. Check out TripAdvisor for some pious restaurant recommendations if you don't want to income for Zagat - not sure what you're asking for though, if this is a school-arranged trip, you're probably all right next to that. Don't worry in the order of the city, it's not as dangerous as society claim. You'll be fine. Take lots of pictures, bring water if you can (it's expensive on the street) - attain a pretzel, eat Ray's pizza - closely of people will update you to get a partiality of "authentic New York" but if you haven't seen the tourist attractions, be sure to hit those first. (Oh, and bring a mini map.)_ If you want a biddable book, try the Not for Tourist Guide to NYC.
other keep your daypack criss cross over your shoulder
cross the street fussily, The taxis come across to want to run over people
NYC is amazily pretty at night but dont stroll off into misty and mysterious places. keep your iteams close to you and be alert. Enjoy i love New York!
