Disneyland is within Anaheim but is only a 30 to 45 minute drive.
Bright child is a blast for little kids. I go there as a kid and I really enjoy it. I think there's one within the valley. However, they might not exist anymore. If they don't, Broadway Gym is fun also.

Disney Land and got o City Hall (At Disneyland) and procure a sticker that says its my birthday and you go and get some special benefits. Also Universal City Walk not the theme park. Fun shopping and Virtual bowling at Jillians Universal.
I recently have a party surrounded by Griffith Park in the Crystal Springs Picnic Area. It be great! Talk to the Park Rangers about getting a travel document and then rent a moonbounce (only $100!) and conceivably bring pizza or something else really easy. You'll spend rather bit, but it is far and away the cheapest party you'll enjoy in LA. There are even some parts of the park where on earth you can do it without a travel document, but check with the Rangers first.

Call Disney Dining an book a spot for the birthday party on prime street, its about $10.00 a human being, everyone gets their own mini cake to festoon and when we did mine I got to lug a picture with both Mickey and Minnie Mouse at matching time, thats hard to do. They hold different characters so it might not always be M&M but its lots of fun. I turned 41 and enjoy it and the 11 YO boy with us enjoy it too even though it wasnyt his B day.
