Cost of living surrounded by Boston, MA?
A job promotion is moving me from Raleigh, NC to Boston. I realize the cost of living will increase drastically. I brand a salary of 40k per year currently, which is a comfortable income for the nouns i live in. What benign of increase in net should I expect to live a similar lifestyle in the Boston nouns. My new department is in Southborough, approx. 30 miles west of boston.

Both well-mannered answers! Also since Southborough is well west of Boston, nearby are communities that are not as expensive to live in around that nouns as they are in and around the Route 128 beltway.
It is still more expensive than where on earth you live though.
