What can a mom do surrounded by San Jose while her daughter is at the Fanime convention contained by May?

I will be in San Jose from Friday morning till Sunday hours of darkness with two girls attending the Fanime convention contained by May--what does anyone recommend as far as sight-seeing, shopping, restaurants, walking places? We are staying near the convention center--I'd close to to walk but could drive or pocket public transportation.

Answers:
near are museums...haha :] and lots of malls
Here are a couple of links to some things to do contained by the area while you are here.

As I know it, Fanime started out *** a "Free Anime" convention.
Anime is a Japanese cartoon art form. As its' American counterpart, some have more of an adult content than others.
Contrary to what some may dream up, it is not all smut. Yet even still, it might be worth walking around near the girls a bit. If nothing else it will make available you a little bonding and something to converse about final home.

Hope you enjoy your stay!
I'll answer your sound out with another press. Why would you let your daughter travel see that crap in the first place?

There is so much to do!

- The Tech Museum will definitely benefit you AND your two girls.
- Definitely stir to Original Joe's downtown to eat, near WILL be a wait though. Everytime I've gone I've have to wait at lowest possible 45 minutes.
- Where are you coming from? You can always try The Cheesecake Factory, however, that may be a moment or two far from you.
- If you decide to walk to the Cheesecake Factory (there's one in Valleyfair Mall) later you should stop by Santana Row! (right across the street from Valleyfair) I love shopping there, it's wonderful! They own stores from Urban Outfitters to Gucci, to Burberry! Also great if you want to just pace around after a great meal.

I hope you hold a great time in San Jose! (=
I would definitely progress to the Tech Museum which should be walking distance from your hotel. Go to Original Joe's (Italian/American food) for a meal beside your daughters. It is also walking distance from the convention center.

The light railing may be a good sightseeing tour as it runs right outside of the convention center.
go to the club and bring crunk
Don't move about to the winchester mystery house, that place is overrated and kinda lame.

You're definitely going to obligation a car to gain around, San Jose is very spread out and I really don't guess there's anything that great near the convention center...but I recommend santana row. It have a really nice atmosphere, and great high-end shops. Also there are several movie theaters inwardly walking distance, and the huge valley f¨ēte mall is across the street.

If you are inclined to drive a bit further you should check out Los Gatos or Saratoga. they both have really nice little downtown areas.
Definately go on a tour of the Winchester Mystery House. It is a really fun tour beside lots of interesting and historical information. If there is transportation available she could closure up to Fremont and visit the San Jose Mission. :)
heyy.
i would suggest going shopping. i visited san jose once, and the shopping is nice. however, san jose is chock-a-block w/ thiefs, so be careful.
