depends where you want to live here
You will not have any problem finding preschool work contained by New Orleans; but the pay will not be biddable unless you are planning to start your own preschool. On the other hand, what you will find difficult is finding a angelic school for your kids, unless you are making righteous enough money to put them contained by private schools. It can be thoroughly expensive. The public schools surrounded by New Orleans are so bad that I expect coming from UK, you could never imagine. You will not believe it until you see it, you will not even believe your kids when they come and explain to you about their afternoon.
Put your kids in private institution; lots of fine ones here. Best pay for your open-handed of work will be found in the Garden District nouns and Metairie or Kenner, which are suburbs and pay better because there's more affluent individuals. My suggestion would be to look up the providers in the directory ( yellowbook.com, etc..) and nickname them directly, jobs close to yours are hard to find general public for in the nouns. You'll be a shoe-in because you're from England. Play the accent to the hilt.
Above adjectives, keep your kids out of public conservatory. I came here next to my parents when I was 9 from York, England. The results of 2 years of public showed my parents the neutral. If you ever make it to Cafe Du Monde, I'm the guy contained by the York City FC jersey...every day at 8:30pm.
Moving into the city of New Orleans may or may not be a good theory. Very expensive and hard to find properties that can be insured. The public school in Louisiana hold always be a disgrace. Most of the Catholic schools are right to excellent and costs are reasonable, in the order of $5,000 to 7,000 (US funds) per child, some cost adjustments may be available.

For those who longing to avoid the expense, high crime and poor school the move is to the "North Shore" see http://www.neworleansnorthshore.com/

Best of Luck to you!
Depends on where on earth you live. There is still alot that needs to be done down here.
if you want to live surrounded by Louisiana but not directly contained by New Orleans, try something about an hour or so away. I live 1 hour away from N.O and its not desperate. Public schools are great where on earth i live which is in Gray (about 10 miles from Thibodaux) Private school are good too but for a while pricey. We are ALWAYS looking for preschool teachers and such. Just look around!
I think it is great that you want to move to New Orleans. Anyone who is describing you to move outside the city is crazy. Right now, New Orleans wants people more than anything. Other than that, listen to what culture have said around the public schools. Get your children into a Catholic arts school. You have to earnings for it, but it is worth it. Check out the Garden District/Uptown area. There are seriously of homes for sale right very soon, so you should be able to command a clad price.
