In California, why are commutes the worst on Tuesdays, and Thursdays?
I live & work in Southern California, and notice that the daily morning & evening commutes tend to be the worst on Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Why is that?
Serious answers with the sole purpose please.
Answers:
People try to strech their weekends. So a lot are MIA on Mondays and Fridays.
because tuesday and thursday are considered evil days.
individuals try to get out of their houses because that's where on earth the evil lives.
I see a outline. Tuesday, Thursday, Traffic. They all start beside the letter "T". That may own something to do with your answer.
People who work on weekends typically work Tuesdays and/or Thursdays, too.
We see the same piece in Sacramento, I deduce its due to people ditching work Mondays and Fridays. People are taking long weekends and taking Fridays bad or calling out sick for the extra day making the morning commute here easier but once afternoon hits everyone is on the rad heading out of town. Then Monday morning adjectives the alcoholics are calling in sick from the binge drinking weekend.
I know you want serious answers, but I hold out up some wild guesses:
1. More traffic on the highway on Tuesdays and Thursdays due to everybody going to work. I'm guessing that most people telephone in sick on Mondays to rest from their weekends, and ditch work on Fridays to leave for their weekends hasty.
2. Pay attention to what ships and how many are within San Pedro and Long Beach. If a ship arrives Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, it will be unloaded by Monday and the cargo containers sent out on the big rig trucks by Tuesday, putting more trucks out doing a tour. Cargo space on those ships will have be arranged by Wednesday, on Thursday more trucks incoming will start arrive to load up the ship to set tour by Friday or Saturday. More ships in the harbor, more trucks on the L.A. Freeways heading contained by and out.
3. This is going to sound silly, but work beside me here. Tuesdays and Thursdays are soccer practice days (or baseball or gymnastics or club football or whatever), so there are more "soccer moms" on the roads cart their kids to practices (10 years of AYSO - I should know), filling up the roads stale the freeways.
4. Hollywood is still the major picture capitol of the world, and there are still seriously of projects in production at adjectives of the studios. Most studios have a regular number of population for regular production work such as set builders, sound and lighting techs, costumers, computer animators, and the citizens who work only on the credits. The numbers swell when actor, actresses, extras, citizens from the ad agencies, empire from the production company, and 50 producers have to show up on film days which tend to get serious midweek. Thursdays and Fridays are tape days for most sitcoms, so everybody plus the studio audience has to show up for the tape. So more people are on the roads to return with to the studios and film locations. (They really detestation working on Fridays, and especially weekends, so they try to get as much done as they can by Thursday, if they can oblige it.)
After that, I couldn't tell you. Some natural guesses, but most of it from personal experience why I was doing a tour more often midweek.
