Can you recommend a conceivably priced San Francisco garage/service station that does smog inspections?
I am told that there is no state mandate or state set price on the inspection and that prices vary from gas station to gas station.

Most stations charge something like $25 for the inspection and $10 for the certificate. And you are correct, in attendance is no state regulation on prices.

I usually be in motion to the station on Valencia across the street from St. Luke's Hospital, but that's just because they're subsequent door to my mechanic (the best in town! Celica Salon!)
I recommend Colma Smog Station within Daly City, on the corner of Serramonte BLVD and Callan Street.
