hi i live really close to D.C and instead of going to all the museums ( sooo boring lol ) you can progress to Springfield, Va like Springfield shopping arcade it has deeply of shops and Kingstown has a nice little shopping center that i budge to a lot it also have movie theater have fun, but if you enjoy to go to museums the spy museum is great I've hear and the Holocaust museum kind of depressing though .. oh yea and another really hott shopping precinct where everybody go to is Tyson Mall look up the directions! have fun and enjoy a safe trip!

The Smithsonian museums alone are enough to maintain you occupied for more or less a month. There are also the various monuments, the capitol, the White House, the Supreme Court, National Zoo and arboretum... you won't be bored, that's reliable! You can go shopping ANYWHERE - but the Smithsonian is something special!
You can stop by the Smithsonian Museums; most highly recommended "The Air & Space Museum", The National Press Building have shows for free. If you are for some late darkness entertainment I would say the Foggy Bottom/Georgetown nouns has some cool clubs next to mostly a College crowd, and last check out the National Zoo surrounded by the Woodley Park area smoothly reached by the MetroRail or subway and accross here is a popular hangout called Oxford Pub accross from the Zoo for live Music also prearranged as the Zoo Bar. You can also do some nice shopping at White Flint Mall between the suburbs of Rockville and Bethesda Maryland or Tyson's Corner in Tysons Corner Virgina, also reachable by subway White Flint and Falls Church stations respectively. Also try Tony Cheng's contained by DC's chinatown for great chinese, and for great latin fare there is Adams Morgan nouns full of every latin ethnic cuisine.
