Downstairs VS Upstairs(Apartments)?

In March or April of 2009 I will move to the Veg.I would rather live downstairs than upstairs if I have the choice. But I do have 2 question that have come up

1-Would it be best to get flood insurance regardless if I live upstairs or downstairs?

2-Is it cheaper to live upstairs or downstairs?

Answers:
pick the second floor. 1). if the apartment catches fire you
own to jump one story down. 2)it would be harder for a pilferer
to break in. that is to say if you lock all doors/windows
It's usually cheaper to live in an upstairs apartment. If you don't mind walking up steps and carrying things up stairs, after go for the up stairs. You will hear smaller quantity noise up stairs and it's much harder for your apartment to be broken into from the window.
You want renters insurance. I am not sure if you can get flood insurance since it is Federal and involves covering the struture and for an extra charge the contents.

Besides I would not live where on earth I was concerned give or take a few flooding, either, upstairs or down. And I own never heard of anyone enjoy flood insurance living in a rental!! Check near your insurance company for details of coverage for an apartment rental.

Living upstairs you dont have the racket of the people above you, but living upstairs you own to remember there are society below you.
yOU NEED NO FLOOD INSC. IN VEGAS, JUST RENTER INS. Upstairs contained by most places are the same rent as downstairs, Upstairs right, less crash, better view bleak. smells from down stairs cooking Ist floor good on street height and easy on the legs . Bad.. ancestors walking thump thump over your head and louder pandemonium from pool area surrounded by summer. and people walking and running stern and forth. and I say upsrairs...
Flood insurance is a excess of money if you live in Las Vegas. Most apartment complexes require you to purchase insurance through the complex so you're covered if something happen to either your or the owner's property.

According to UNLV, the average rainfall per year is 3.5 inches. Besides, Las Vegas is within the desert, that's like paying for cloud insurance- a fritter away of money.

Cheaper to live upstairs or downstairs? This may depend on the apartment complex but I've never heard that while living surrounded by Vegas.

I know you don't like living upstairs but it have many advantages: you don't own to listen to people clomp around above you and children aren't playing at your doorstep. I similar to my upstairs apartment considering that I have have hellish neighbors within the finishing few months.

Good Luck With Your Search!
A. Not always given a choice. if you want upstairs/downstairs.
B. Should be no price difference! Upstairs/Downstairs.

Upstairs can be ear-splitting on your roof overhead.

Pros downstairs: no heavy heaving groceries up the stairs, easier to bring back furniture in and out of, again no stairs. Downstairs should be cooler surrounded by the summer by a few degrees.
1. I never bought flood insurance; I freshly have renters' ... most of the flooding contained by town occurs on unmistaken streets in infallible areas of town.

2. It is cheaper to live downstairs ... usually $50-$75 more a month.
