Looking for summer housing within NYC for internship, option??

I have an internship beside PwC which is located on 47th and Madison Ave. Can anyone suggest an affordable (under $1200/mo) housing option, or anywhere to look for one? Thank you!

Answers:
Try surrounding areas, not the city itself. Hoboken is a great place. Cheaper than the city, and the commute is great.
Columbia or NYU dorms...

http://www.nyu.edu/summer/housing/applic...
(site says they will start taking '08 applications within January)

Else, post your situation on Craigslist under "housing wanted" and get together NYers who need a roommate for the summer and/or other interns who want to turn in on a group sublet.
First of adjectives, I'm sorry that you want to live in NYC during the summer - yuck. Second, you ought to be capable of find a sublet for under $1200 contained by Astoria-Queens (which is covered by the swift 7 train into Midtown) or some parts of Brooklyn. Use the web site below to look for a impermanent sublet. Click on "Queens," "Bronx," or "Brooklyn" to see the prices go down to your budget.
