Where to stay contained by chicago?
i will be in Chicago the first weekend of october, but it seem all the availbale hotels surrounded by downtown are very expensive. Where could i look for a pretty cheap hotel? which nouns outside downtown? do you know any, maybe close to a metro or train station, so we could slickly go to the city?

Don't stay in Oak Park, you hold to cross through some bad areas to go and get in and out of nearby. I strongly suggest you stay in Rosemont. It's close to the airport, very highly safe nouns - It's the safest most low crime area around Chicago in actual fact. There is a CTA train that goes into Rosemont. CTA is our Public Transportation. That train will filch you directly into downtown Chicago and from there, you can help yourself to other trains to other neighborhoods to visit. Sleep within a safe nouns.

look for hotels in Oak Park and check out downtown Oak Park. lately cause you come to Illinois doesnt be going to you should stay in Chicago. near are lots of other nices places to go.
Try 'The Seneca Hotel', its on N. Michigan Ave. Beautiful area, lots of shopping too. The Loop is call 'downtown', if you stayed at the Seneca a cab ride would catch you to downtown and then backbone to your hotel.
Or try a Chicago bed and breakfast like 'The Inn At Lincoln Park.' It looks to be below 100 bucks. A great area, but youre reasonably far from downtown, a cab would be costly, so phone the Inn and ask if theres a nearby stop for the elevated train.

Oak Park is a lovely town, worth visit in its own right (Hemingway and architect Frank Lloyd Wright be from Oak Park). If you take the Green Line, you are NOT going to find yourself smack-dab surrounded by the middle of a rumble.
I live along the O'Hare branch of the Blue Line, and I advise AGAINST you staying within a hotel near O'Hare. (That includes Rosemont.) Why? Construction is on the go on those tracks, and it can take you nearly two hours at some points (late evening and dark, primarily) just to receive from downtown to your hotel near O'Hare. I am not exaggerating. That would not be fun, and it would not be worth it.
Stay contained by a hotel, inn or bed-and-breakfast in a more in-lying neighborhood such as Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Wrigleyville or Wicker Park/Bucktown.
Oh, and still considering Oak Park? Green Line's moving of late fine, and getting from Oak Park to downtown Chicago takes roughly 30 minutes, which is VERY possible.
I used to live surrounded by Lincoln Park, and have have friends stay here when they are in Chicago-close to everything! 4 blocks away from Lake Michigan and a bus ride away from downtown.
