You will love it here. There are alot of Indian guzzle outs here and markets to buy Indian food. Yes daycare is available, mine are elder so I dont know the prices anymore. Call around your area and price once you move to town, it should be ok pricing. Also be in place for rain... which is not as impossible as people conjecture however it is much different than most parts of the US. Have a safe trip
Finding you food will not be a problem, finding a great daycare will not be a problem, sorry I am not sure what the reg. charges are.
Seattle is a great nouns to raise kids, lots of zoo's, the science center, camp is great in Washington, beach are close, ski/snowboarding areas, good school - check out greatschools.net
the miscellany of people here is great! You will love as long as you can feel rain, but that give us the beauty if the forest - oh yeah we enjoy a rain forest not to far away too!
I lately moved from seattle a few months ago. You will NEVER have a problem finding Indian food nearby. Every community (even in the suburbs) have at least one indian restaurant and/or an indian grocery. Whatever it is you'll call for, you'll be able to find. I used to salary $197 a week for dycare there contained by a suburb called Renton, the place be called Family Circle Learning Center (425-271-9119) and they be GREAT!! I hear it's cheaper to send kids to an in-home daycare within but I never really trusted going that route.
There are a lot of childrens undertakings there; the zoos, aquarium, Pacific Science Center, The Childrens Theatre, The Museum of Flight, Alki Beach etc. My Father teach a class at Alki and Cedar river driven towards children.
