Been here 21 years. We're Very HOt and yes Dryer than texas. But still very HOT! Not immaculate weather, except in winter:)
I hold lived in Frisco Texas and we do not hold near the horizontal of humidity out here as you do back near.
Dry heat and humid steam are two different beasts. You may not have a feeling as drained and trapped and muggy as in humid warmth, but is dry heat you can grain you skin burning. Especially in those nice desert summer afternoon when it's 105+ and no wind. it's much worse than any amount of humidity.

Dallas feel hotter in the temperature around 70-85, but Phoenix's 90+ you begin to discern the sun, as if you were inches from a fire. Phoenix winters are great. The days are nice and mild 75 and sunny, next to 0 humidity. The only problem is the heat plummets at night, near a difference close to 30 degrees from midday to sundown.
omg what ever you do do NOT choose to live contained by Phoenix. I hate it here. i have to move cuz of dads job but save for that i wish i could moveee!! and approaching in the summer its torturee!! right now(jan 15 (a)4:20) its similar to in the mid 60's or something similar to that. so yeah.. i would stay away from here
