The Honorary Mayor of Hollywood, a long time resident of the Roosevelt Hotel, passed away yesterday.He was a distinctive, tireless promoter and spokesman of all things Hollywood.and is irreplaceable..He will be missed.

Johnny was really great. I believe that if it wasn't for him Hollywood would not enjoy the stars walk of standing, parade or even urban renewal. i hope some one picks up where on earth he left rotten.

never knew who that guy be, although i did see a bunch of candles and flowers by his star yesterday.
I be walking in Hollywood one time and come across Johnny Grant giving some one a star. I never heard of this guy back...had something to do beside technical aspect of the business. He be very charming. He impressed me near how excited he was around the business.
