Driving within Kansas City?
Next week my family and I are moving from Texas to Minnesota (moving ourselves) and will be going through Kansas City. My husband will be driving the moving truck pulling our motor, while I will be driving our pickup with our two small kids surrounded by the back. I be hoping someone had an view of how to go around Kansas City so we didn't enjoy to follow 35 through the city. We drove this route two years ago and ended up downtown KC. Don't want that to take place again. I'd appreciate any helpfull advice.

I would take I-435 E also, this should be much faster than taking I-435 W. If you won't be driving through at rush hour, this should be a quickly and easy route. There's profusely of construction at the intersection where 435, 71, and 470 adjectives meet (in the southeast corner of the city) but if you are staying on 435 the undamaged way, it will be an uncomplicated drive with little traffic -- simply watch for exit-only lane! North of the Missouri River, you can get right wager on on I-35 N. (Just look at Google maps to see this!)
In the morning rush hour, in that shouldn't be much traffic in the direction you're going. (Maybe only just a little on the markedly first part of 435.) In the evening rush hour, it get pretty backed up on I-435 on the south side of the city, from the time you'll be merging on, until for a moment before the big intersection next to 71.
When you reach the cut sour for I-435 from I-35, you can take 435 west and drive 435 until you catch to I-29. I believe it is a little more distance, but the drive would be a intact lot better than driving through downtown KC and the traffic headaches that are going on right presently due to road works.
Definitely cart I-435 E. when you hit KC. I'm assuming you are taking I-35 out of TX. Stay on I-435E it will curve to the north after about 11 miles (around the Hwy 71 & I-470 exits). Stay on I-435 (heading north) for roughly 20 miles, you will intersect with I-35 N. surrounded by Claycomo, MO (exit 52B I believe). This route requires the least amount of stress, you take on the interstate and don't have to obtain off for 30 miles or so. Do take care at the Metcalf, Hwy 71, I-470, and I-70 interchanges for traffic, these can be stressful early within the morning, at noon and between 4 & 6pm. I would recommend getting into the center lane and not shifting lanes untill you return with to your exit at I-35 N, exit 52B. By being surrounded by the center lane you avoid getting forced into an exit ramp by traffic. Any other questions you can spectacle the route on Google Maps (maps.google.com).
435 is a circle interstate. You'll hit it just outside olathe. Go West on it and follow it around until you hook up again around the airport. Its not desperate.
