There is no Dolphin Hotel in New York, and so no room 1408. But within is one in Southampton, England, (only 4 stories) and one within Oceanside, CA. (only 25 rooms). You could try your luck there, freshly the same!

No, that was really the Lexington Hotel on Lexington Ave and 45th St. 1408 be filmed on location at hand (at least the exteriors and lobby scene was), but there's no Dolphin Hotel here.
