Relocating to Texas, which city would you live within?
Moving to Texas for my job. I own these three cities to chose from: Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio. Unfortunately, Austin is not an option! I hold no kids so schools are not celebrated, would like to buy a house lower than 200k, commute is not important as I work from home and travel to clients adjectives over the city.

I live contained by Central Texas and I love San Antonio with Dallas individual not too far behind.
Dallas would be the best..its has EVERYTHING except outstandingly very large muggy humidity and hurricans like houston...tornadoes never come to Dallas.ive be here 23 years and closest big tornadoe took out some of downtown fort worth and that was several years ago..san antonio?? haha man i bet they own the worst illegal immigration problem contained by texas! yea too bad roughly austin id love to live in that for a while..man id try colorado...but Dallas if..you got every sport troop takin care of everything takin charge of
I am native Texan and while I live within Houston now, I go to school right by San Antonio and hold spent tons and tons of time in Dalllas for work. The right city depends on what you are looking for.
Houston have by far the most affordable housing of the three cities you have nominated. We also offer much, much more surrounded by the way of happenings. We are close enough to Galveston to savour the beach and we hold a ton of museums, nightclubs, independent coffee houses and we are world high-flying for our restaurants- some of the finest chefs in the world own restaurants here which are surpsingly affordable. The thing that does it for me though are the Houstonians- they are the most friendly, big hearted general public in adjectives of Texas.
Now for the down side. We flood, and often. Not a problem if you live surrounded by some areas, a big problem if you live in others. We are surrounded by a hurricane zone. It has be years and years since we have taken a direct hit but it can come to pass. It is also unreasonably hot and humid from the end of May up until overdue October. We also have mosquitos similar to nobody else and our traffic jams are of late horrible. Forget about public transport here, it doesn't exist!
San Antonio have fantastic weather and a really beautiful outlook. It gets thoroughly hot in the summer but it is honourably dry and that makes an extremely large difference. Living in San Antonio have a very distinct Hispanic flavor which I evolve to adore. The people are immensely family orient and make wonderful neighbors. The down side to this is that San Antonians tend to be rather bit slower to warm up to newcomer. Housing is still reasonable, but much more expensive than Houston. You also don't hold a whole lot surrounded by the way of nightlife bar bars and restaurants BUT you are close ample to head into Austin which is spectacular and contained by between there are tons of opportunites for biking, kayaking, etc.
Dallas. What can I say aloud that is apposite about Dallas. Ummm, Dallas is subsequent to Fort Worth. Fort Worth and Denton are filled near really down to earth individuals. Dallas is NOT the same as Fort Worth and Denton. Housing is a bit more expensive, but still affordable. Dallasites are not the most heat and welcoming of associates. If you are looking to impress peeps beside your material possesions, you will be a unfaultable fit in Dallas. Oh and their traffic is really, really desperate. Dallas has hot weather and is a magnet for tornados.

I've lived in adjectives three.and to be honest, it just depends on the genus of person you are.
Dallas is awesome if you're making pretty fitting money, and are into some of the nicer things.
Houston is more relaxed and cheaper (in some areas. We live in The Woodlands right very soon and we like it.)
San Antonio is more cultured. Theres things near that you can do that you cant in the other cities.
I love San Antonio and adjectives, but I dont know if I could live there again. Itd be between Dallas and Houston for me.

Dallas-no hurricanes, pretty steady weather for the most part of the pack, many places to be in motion for entertainment, everyone is so hospitable. Good luck!
Avoid Dallas proper. Also avoid certain suburbs around it--most areas of Mesquite, Irving, and Garland. Those areas are illustrious crime; Dallas has profusely of "capital offenses" citywide except within the Highland Park and extreme southwest areas of the city limits. M/I/G hold a lot of property crimes. I'd also avoid Plano: snooty. If you work within Dallas, live in Arlington, Grand Prairie, North Richland Hills, Euless, Richardson, or the eastern division of Fort Worth (actually, NE up 183 toward Euless and D/FW Airport.) Those areas are fairly nice. In nonspecific, Ft. Worth and Arlington are probably the best cities in the total metroplex region, and you can still buy a nice house for under 200K. (Most undamaging yet internal area to join your clients needs: Arlington)
Houston: dignified crime rate, sure, but the capital crimes are more concentrated within areas just NW of I-610, along the Southwest Frwy. corridor, and the SE division of the city (near Galena Park and La Porte Pkwy. inside the tollway.) The Woodlands is a nice, thriving suburb about 45 minutes N. of Downtown on I-45. Kingwood is 30 min. NE of Downtown on the Eastex Freeway. Maybe La Porte, Baytown, and Kemah will do the career for you; still in Harris County, you don't own to worry just about toll roads to take you to downtown, still close to Galveston and the Kemah Boardwalk, and there's the Gulf of Mexico. Katy is not doomed to failure, either, especially if you love shopping areas. Sugarland: overrated. (Most nontoxic yet internal areas to meet requests of your clients: draw a ring b/t I-610 and the Sam Houston Tollway, then bring it from Westheimer up to I-45 north.)
San Antonio: the cheapest city within which to live (of these three.) Property values and taxes are the lowest. Beautiful parks, the mission trail strings along the San Antonio River south of downtown, and there is still a great deal of shopping there. Maybe the hottest, driest climate of the three cities. Avoid living contained by any of the southside areas inside I-410, though, as they are high crime. The westside of Houston (Katy Freeway/Katy proper) is solely 2 1/2 east SA on I-10, so that would make a honourable weekend trip. Austin is only 1 1/4 hours north of I-35. (Most risk-free yet inner area in attendance: between FM 1604 and I-40 along and near US 281.)
Do I live surrounded by Texas? No, I actually live surrounded by Kentucky. But I've done a lot of research. It would be preposterous and presumptuous for me to utter I know SO MUCH, because there is still abundantly for me to learn in the region of the great Lone Star State. I'm moving there contained by 2008 and still heavily considering which area is the best for me and why. Really, for you, it will be a concern of personal preference too. Although, if I have my druthers, I'd choose Houston.

I've asked myself a similar give somebody the third degree. The traffic in Dallas and especially Houston is catastrophic, where insanity is a requirement for have a drivers license. And the climate in Houston is excruciating in the summer, so hopefully San Antonio, which I've never visit at least have a slightly drier air and is free of the excessive commuter sprawl of the former two cities. On a map anyway San Antone looks greatly better.
Houston is a dump. Avoid it at adjectives costs.
San Antonio and Dallas are nice. I would give San Antonio the farthest point because it is just a fun place to live and so close to Austin.
Dallas... downtown at that... best investment if you buy a condo now that the adjectives scene is booming... with traffic self horrific, better off anyone centrally located anytime of the day... I live here myself, wouldn't trade it for anything. You'll love the undamaged nightlife and hip places... if you're the suburb type of guy, then look elsewhere contained by Dallas...
Houston's weather is horribly bad, can't read aloud much about the living here though...
SA is a good place to call in, and that's about it...
