Is it best to win a metro card and use the subway or should I gain a Taxi from JFK to lower manhattan?

I will be travelling with my brother, predictable to to early afternoon. I hear up to 4 people can use the card (a) a time. Does this close-fisted that 2 of us could travel 1 journey for and single 2 dollars will be deducted from the card?

Answers:
The Taxi fare from JFK to the city (Manhattan) is fixed at $45 plus tolls (none if you use the 59th St bridge or the Brooklyn or Manhattan Bridges). If more than 1 personality uses the card, you will be deducted $2 per creature on the subways or buses. But if you transfer next to the same card alike number of people will receive the free transfer.
Between 2 population spending $45 makes smaller quantity than $25 a piece. It will save you loads of time and you gain directly to your destination. I find it ridiculous to lug bags around up and down stairs to carry on a crowded subway to sit for hours getting into the city.

If you are going on a vacation, rescue your time and take a hackney carriage. Also, you don't see the city while underground.
No, you would enjoy to take the AirTran from JFK to Howard Beach station ($5 per person)

From at hand take the A subway to Manhattan ($2 per person)

Or you can whip a cab for a flat fare of $45 plus tolls and tips
A taxi is gonna cost a fortune you would be much better past its sell-by date to use the metro card and the subway. I dont know if two can go on one card or not.
no. you respectively have to salary.. so if its just the two of you , you can share a card... its much cheaper to use the subway.
it depends...you cant procure the subway from jfk.you have to get hold of what's called the airtrain which costs $5 respectively & then verbs onto the subway which costs $2 each.you own to swipe the metrocard for each personage which deducts $2 per being.
If it's your first time in New York, a black cab might be easier but be warned it costs $45 for a black cab plus any tolls plus tip (which is obligitary to pay!).
Another alternative is to win the bus which costs $15...it departs regularly & stops at all the airport terminal & also stops at the major hotels surrounded by manhatten as well as Grand Central Terminal & Port Authortity Bus Terminal
If you buy an unlimited Mentro card you need to dally 18 minutes between swipes. I'd say that you should spend the $4. much cheaper than a cab.
Ask the Metro transportation something like a card that will cover you as far as you can go...buy it later take a hackney carriage from there. WAY
EXPENSIVE FOR TAXI/LIMO...you will hide away about a hundred dollars using the subway.
