Lawerence Fishburne in Thurgood. One man show, set run. It's fantastic. Best thing I've see on Broadway in years. If you can capture tickets, see it.
Or, if you want to go another method, Clay Akin is now contained by Spamalot. I saw Spamalot a few years ago and it was severely funny. I'm not sure what role Clay is playing, if it's the role I saw Tim Curry's in later it's an odd choice.
The other answers, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (James Earl Jones, Phylicia Rashad and others) and Curtains (David Hyde Pierce) are also supposed to be particularly good.
