17 year antiquated border crosser?
I'm a 17 year old American citizen. I would similar to to know if i need a missive from my parents to cross the border back into the U.S from Canada? I don't hold papers for Canada. My dad lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, and my mom lives contained by Toronto.

If you don't own a passport yet, I'd label it your top priority to get one.
As a minor, you'll still have to own permission to be crossing, if you aren't within a vehicle with one of your parents. Or enjoy written permission from your custodial parent.
Probably not. The concern is usually about younger children who are surrounded by much more danger of human being unlawfully transported to anther country without the sanction of both parents.
However, it wouldn't hurt to have a communiqu¨¦ from your mother that states she knows you are traveling to the USA.
Your best bet is to turn to the State Department website for the most up-to-date info. There is, or will be, some type of identity card that can be used to go to/from Canada surrounded by lieu of a passport. You may also need some type of notarized communiqu¨¦ or form signed by your parents. The website should tell you that.
You might also try the bureau of your US Senator or Representative for information or guidance to sources of information.
Without going through the time, trouble and cost of applying and obtaining a US PASSPORT from the US STATE DEPARTMENT proving your US citizenship, I would strongly SUGGEST you manufacture it a HIGH PRIORITY to request and pay the fees to get your hands on (2) originals of your BIRTH CERTIFICATE from the jurisdiction where on earth your birth was record.
Other than your BIRTH CERTIFICATE, probably the second most controlled official document is your USA issued DRIVER's LICENSE.
Regarding written post from your Mom or Dad, I seriously doubt if they would truly help that much bec they are NOT OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT issued documents and if you put yourselves contained by the shoes of the Governnment official at the border crossing, anybody could hold written and signed them.
