I am from spanking new york city. I hold a brief bestow within Corpus Christi or Brownsville Texas.?
A Texan friend of mine has really advised me not to move to these areas. Why are these places so bleak? Can anyone who has lived in that and or moved there for a while speak about me?

Jobs are usually not worth moving for UNLESS it is to a geographic location that you want to move to.
Corpus Christi is a fine city, but I would not want to move to Brownsville. But pop in Corpus yourself before you engender any decisions.
Corpus is better than Brownsville. Corpus is a cool city it;s just that the sand isn't that great but other than that I infer Corpus would be a good pick
Unless you like to move about fishing, I think you will find your entertainment option in Corpus and Brownsville greatly more limited than NY.
