From Long Beach California?
Can you guys help me out? I want to come and look in for a chillout holiday in june, can anyone recommend a really cheap hotel or guesthouse to stay at, or is it not the generous of place that i'll find any cheap places?
Answers:
Pacific Coast Highway has a cheap motel that's 45 dollars a darkness, the city is Harbor which is just 10, 15 minutes passageway from there. I'm sure you'll find some other motels along that street at impossible to tell apart rate.
Since 85% of Long Beach is populated next to the working poor you can find very cheap and startling places to stay in.
You didn't utter what your budget is, but the other person's suggestion of the Motel 6 close to Cal State Long Beach will provide an ok location to stay.
if you want to be closer to downtown long seaside, then in that is
travel lodge 1st and Atlantic
Roadways inn 1/2 between 1st and ocean on Atlantic
long seaside inn Broadway and Atlantic
vagabond inn on los alamitos and 1st
holiday contained by or best western cant remember which one which
but they are on Anaheim and Atlantic
the others off pch and long coast blvd
Long Beach is large so in that are many sides to it: business, upscale, ghetto, gay, etc. It depends what side you and your wallet are comfortable contained by. There are some neighboring cities as well that might suit you if LB doesn't work out. I passed by a hostel surrounded by San Pedro (next to LB) but it was isolated and seem lonely. Motel 6s can be a hit or miss. Motel 8 costs just rather more and seems to be better. You might be capable of couchsurf (there are websites for this) or stay in a room of a student who's gone on break and subletting their room (check university web sites for housing option but mostly this is advertised on flyers around campuses).
There is a Motel 6 near Cal State Long Beach, on 7th Street implicit PCH (Pacific Coast Highway). Sorry I don't know about most of the hotels surrounded by the area, but it probably won't go and get much cheaper than this.
EDIT:
Long Beach is the second largest city in LA county, at over a million citizens. Long Beach is somewhat "hood"-y. There are areas where you distinctly do NOT want to stay. I suggested the Motel 6 near the university because it IS farther from downtown. If you longing to go downtown for the evening, or down to the waterfront, you can do that well.
Here is a link to a site that list things to do in LB:

Be sure to check out the nightlife wedge. Tops on my list would be The Blue Cafe and Vault 350.
For shopping you can't time the Belmont Shores area.
Have great time!
