Help me resembling Dallas, TX..?

Okay, please try to convince me that Dallas is a great city. Personally, I hate it...but I hang on to trying to give it another unpredictability and another chance etc. I am used to cities approaching Chicago and NYC...to me, Dallas is ugly and boring.not to mention style too hot for a good chunk of the year. I in fact have more appreciation for cities much smaller than Dallas than Dallas itself. Please try and convince me that Dallas have something to offer more than shopping and club-hopping. Thank you within advance!

I'm from NYC and planning a move to Dallas for the Fall. I'm certainly relocating to Dallas because it is cheaper to rent an apartment or own a home than NYC

I don't plan on giving up my beloved NYC entirely. I was born and raise here and it will always be a fragment of my heart. My mom will still have a home up contained by NYC and I will work in the big apple during the summers because my area is education. I can work up here during the summers and earn satisfactory money to pre-pay a 1 bdrm apartment in Dallas (suburbs) a year contained by advance.

I will live surrounded by Dallas from September to May. I will also have the great weather, tons of restaurants (I hear that Dallas has more restaurants per capita than NYC does), space, laidback lifestyle, cities approaching Houston and Austin within hours drive away. (Already I enjoy something to do on the weekend -- Yay!) I think it is a virtuous bargain as far as huge U.S. cities are concerned.
Dallas have so much to offer, that's pretty much the singular reason why it's popular. and it's cheap. the weather sucks, but if you live here..after a few years you get hold of used to it.
I live just outside Dallas and I love it here, primarily the people hold on to me in this severely hot state, I have traveled alot but hold not found another place where everyone is so friendly and of a mind to help.
why do you live here if you hate it so much?

individually i like the hot weather (that's why i didn't move to missouri)

dallas is not gross, you just own to look and find the beauty...you are course too pessimistic

i have traveled to more than partly of the us and have not found a better place than dallas
I think Dallas is a great place to stop by, but I wouldn't want to live inside Dallas city limits. There are tons cultural things you could get involved within, but probably not as much as NYC. What is it that you really like to do? I don't effort for club-hopping and once a year is all I would want of 6 Flags at Arlington.
I one-sidedly LOVE NYC. No where else surrounded by the world would be like NYC and I've be all over the world. But if you want MONEY and have things and little LUXUARY, then Dallas is the place to be. But later, you need to find out and take lots of trips, so you don't perceive bad living within Dallas. I travel a lot and I am planning to buy a nice house here. NYC is super cool, but you can never buy a house and if you do it won't be anything nice. Unless you are a millioner! Living within Dallas over 20 years will make you rich, but within NYC or Chicago won't. Thats how I see it.
The only really appropriate city in Texas is Austin but even Dallas does suck compared to other cities, try living contained by Houston, which I think is even worse than Dallas.

Dallas is more urban, have better transportation and the downtown looks nicer than Houston's downtown.

But yeah, getting used to NYC and Chicago will make any city surrounded by Texas suck.
Ok, all right i live near Dallas. And personaly i dont close to it much either. Got within a wreck the other day over near. And south Dallas is Oakcliff. (the ghetto). But yea. Theres not much to say more or less Dallas. If you like city than I guess stay. But if you close to a quiet time move someweres around there. Like Lewisville or Carrolloton. Both nice places.
Dallas sucks why would I lie to you? That is why I moved to the Phoenix nouns.
I know what your saying i live within west Texas getting ready to move near NOT looking forward to it:(..but i agree with Jonathan move to a smaller city not in truth Dallas..maybe me and you can hook up and show em how your suppose to do it...lol...it is boring..and is it me or do they come across like a ton of clones walking around no sense of self??
I've lived surrounded by Dallas my whole duration and I can't find any place else I like it better than my home. It really depends what nouns of Dallas you live in. I live surrounded by North Dallas and it's great! Look in the Addison area-so much to do and see!
It does stay hot for most of the year but we hold lots of waterparks like-Hurrican Harbor, NRH2O. Hawaiian Falls, and a few more that stay open till September.
Dallas is scary..
Boring..
And fearsome.

My grandparents used to live there previously they died.
I used to hate going in that.
IF you like a free thinking style, liberal and slightly different consequently you might lik ethe Lakewood area of Dallas.
I adore Chicago it is so charming and verbs, pretty and smells lovely. I would move there if it weren't for the cold weather.
Dallas is boring - you can jump to shows, theater, plays, and you can play sports, and you can go to aquarium, zoo and a cowboy winter sport or baseball but if you don't like it later don't bother stay in Chicago that would be my choice.
I similar to Plano because it is clean but excluding drinking, working out and dining out/shopping, movies I would say not much. Golf perchance
Well i live out side of Dallas, approaching near DFW, and yha Dallas stinks, but there's alot of great things to. And Chicago and New York arent great adjectives the time. The Texas State Fair is fun, and the Galleria, Six Flags, Stonebeire, Grapevine Mills, plenty of art muesuems. Just choose something you like and google it for Dallas. You'll probably come up next to something.

if not you could other move.=[
But also the fact that you live surrounded by texas is special, because if anyone asks you where your from you dont influence dallas, but texas. Yee-wah!
You can buy a nice house for cheap contained by DFW! I know lots of people selling their California/New York nouns etc houses and taking their equity and buying a mansion here for cash... sturdy to beat that...
