Where is the best viewpoint for the July 3rd fireworks within Chicago, IL?
I am planning on going to taste of Chicago during the sunshine and taking public transportation to see the fireworks. Where is the best view to see them (preferably in need being contained by the middle of a crush), and what is the closest El stop to that?

Grant park has the best fireworks.. but due to the Taste of Chicago, the transportation is horrible.. Its full & the buses and trains are slower after ever..
I would go somewhere approaching Montrose Harbor or North Ave Beach...

if your going to be at the taste of chicago you can merely stay there. The best place would be in the vicinity or around there. You can try by the shed, on the lakefront. So bring a blanket next to you so you can lay it out and reserve your spot. Enjoy.
