Planning to progress to California for holidays contained by December?

I'm planning to go California during December for a break..have in the order of 12 to 14 days on hand...does anyone own any suggestions on where to stir and what to do?

will probably been renting a vehicle to drive along the west coast..so anywhere that's easily legitimate will be good!

by the style, is driving (i.e. parking + petrol) cheap?

Answers:
hiya! local californian here. gas...yeah that as of now is at $3 bucks a gallon unleaded, the lowest its be in weeks. parking usually isnt that big of a problem even contained by the big cities you just hold on to looping around til you find a place.

since you have so oodles days are you able to fly into one city and depart from from another?

i would suggest starting in sacramento seeing the property, old town, and the gold ingots rush history, we also have a downtown rime skating rink at our downtown mall ever winter.

subsequent head to San Francisco where on earth to get everything contained by including napa up north and point reyes spend about 3-4 days within. They decorate to the max for the holidays.

after that go before down the coast to santa cruz for a day and see the beachboardwalk. and hour south of explicitly monterrey an amazing little town so cute and one of the most amazing aquariums ever. San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara are south of that and south of that is LA spend time doing adjectives the touristy stuff. too many to enumerate tho!!

and last but not smallest go down to san diego another amazing city. and its pretty much thaw year round, except in december a jacket surrounded by the evening.

doing all that will pretty much permit you see the whole state on the coast side. self recoment the lake tahoe side as in good health but in the winter thats snowed within!

have fun!
So I will speak of Northern California (southern is its own entity sort of)
San Francisco is a must stop,
a few tourist destinations:
Golden Gate Bridge
Lombard Street
Coit Tower
Pier 39
Alcatraz

From within Napa is very nice
South of that I notably recommend 17 Mile drive in Carmel, it is a toll road (one of the few) but extremely scenic, and Carmel is a cool town.

Also that agency is the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk ( a cool carousel there)

Lake Tahoe is beautiful

As nonspecific statements, parking in metropolitan areas can be expensive,
Interstate 5 travels the West Coast (although not customarily near the water) and as a common statement will have the cheaper gas, San Francisco gas can be expensive

Hope this help, have a great trip
Gas (Petrol) is not cheap by our standards, over 3 bucks a gallon. Which is cheaper than Europe, but not as cheap, as say, Saudi Arabia.

The weather will be pious during the day. But downright cold at dark. Expect rain or even snow within Northern CA.

As for places that are good. They're adjectives good. Only depends on how far you're liable to go and how much you're likely to spend.

And everything is accessible. We have freeways after adjectives. The only problem is they're adjectives jammed all the time.

Enjoy.
Start surrounded by San Diego and while you're here visit the San Diego Zoo and perchance take a trip to Tijuana. Drive up the coast to L.A. stopping at Disneyland. From L.A. transport a drive on the coast route up though San Francisco and the Napa Valley wine country. Continue back on the coast though Big Sur and Monterrey, If you're still contained by an adventurous mood drive all the instrument to Eureka though the Redwoods. Beautiful journey adjectives the way. And no, petrol is not cheap here or anywhere for that business.
