my friends called me and asked if your allowed to drink on the train surrounded by chicago?? any one know if u can?

You can't drink on the CTA. On Metra, you can usually drink, but not during festival weekends. July 3rd drinking is unequivocally not allowed.
If you niggardly alcohol then no.
But frequent people drink hose, pop, etc. on CTA even though they say you're not supposed to...of late don't spill any.
generally you can on the metra trains, but i wouldn't recommend drinkin on metra trains on july 3rd or 4th.
in reality, I wouldn't recommend taking metra at all on the 3rd. concluding time i took it home after the fireworks, it took three hours. every stop we made, local police officers would come on and drag past its sell-by date someone to arrest. it led to some objectionable delays.
drinking is forbidden on the CTA's L tracks, but is allowed on the suburban METRA trains that front into the city.

no. but i close-fisted, people do it adjectives the time, so its not like it matter to them. just hang on to in mind that by doing so you're mortal extremely disrespectful to others around you oh and also, sometimes they randomly check peoples lots on holiday weekends...so if you want to get arrested or fined..shift for it!
You can drink on the Metra train lines. In fact, masses of the Metra evening rush hour trains sell alcohol.

You're not supposed to devour or drink while riding public transportation in Chicago. If you're referrering to liquor, definately not.
Metra cuts off booze after 730 pm. Plus you look for a while too young for booze!

You are allowed to drink canned beer on the metra, but you own to be 21. They might ask you to get rotten the train if you are being loud or unruly. Just be discreet and you should be okay. The el- technically you are excluded to, but I have see it done.
