How do I convince my friend NOT to move to Detroit?
My friend Frank wants to move to Detroit because he believes the City of Detroit have a great economy. He also believes that Detroit is packed with entertainment, nightlife, and have excellent mass transportion. He has never be to Detroit and he believes Detroit is like Miami (where he currently lives).
How do I convice my friend to stay contained by Miami and not move to Detroit?
Answers:
Two words: Jennifer Granholm.
Lol! Detroit is no Miami, FL, that's for sure...but it isn't discouraging. Just make sure he doesn't dance to the east side. That is where the legitimate danger lies. I enjoy family over at hand and I hate visit.
tell him you will find adjectives these stuff but he can't do it without friends and biddable friends now are thorny to find. i live in a insensible place but i'm so happy motivation i have nice friends here
Tell him to watch the word. I live about 40 miles north of Detroit and find it economically depressed and rundown . The city is corrupt and the casinos seem to be to be the high spot
As a native Detroiter I can assure you that you are right, Frank does NOT want to move here. While the hours of darkness life and entertainment is great, and even improving, the local economy is one of the worst surrounded by the country. I just lost my situation in the automotive industry, as enjoy thousands of others this year. Michigan is in a one-state depression: taxes are big and increasing (our Governor is a moron), there is no mass transit system to speak of (we enjoy the People Mover downtown, pretty useless) and the weather is crappy 8 months out of the year. I'm moving to Hawaii.
LOL but as you can see no one here will utter that except for the one person who requirements to go to Hawaii where on earth the cost of living is over the top and the homeless set up tents on the beach-thanks but i will pass on that one!
Detroit is similiar to Miami-the biggest differences will be the weather and ironically plenty the richest retirees here live in FL surrounded by the winter but come back to Michigan contained by the summer when the 5 great lakes and countless river overthrow out an oceanfront. then in that are the people-we are not mean, we dont cut you sour and if you are lost we will try to help you
i love chicago and i love ny too but detroit is home and i would never recount someone not to come here. it will be hard but as long as they dont look for a chore in the auto industry, try and insurance company instead or a utility co they should be fine
Friends are celebrated but ultimately one has to live enthusiasm for themselves even twins dont make their global debut together and when you leave this energy you will make that expedition as an individual
hope this helps your friend, deplorably i cant help you :-(
Right now, he should start looking at Detroit communication look at the legal problems Michigan surrounded by general is have financially, especially Detroit. Tell him to do that for about a month, excessive research on it yourself if you want and later have him read it and consequently if he stills wants to try it, fine.
Detroit is by no channel like Miami, Fl. I've lived contained by Detroit all my life span and stayed in Miami, Fl for over two months previously and there is no comparison. Detroit definitely does NOT have excellent mass transportation. You'd be lucky to find a minicab let alone the unsafe city bus individual on time and they don't walk everywhere and are usually filled next to teenage kids surrounded by the early morning and belated afternoon who seem approaching they have no sense or respect for elder.
Chicago is a much better choice. I've spent time there as economically and now I can articulate they have adjectives the excitement and excellance your friend is seeking in a topical city. NO to Detroit. I wish I could move.
one word - weather.
Lets not return with too mixed up. Detroit is a great city that is complete with entertainment and nightlife. It have excellent sports teams, although it is short big time in mass transportation. In some ways it is similar to Miami (crime, demographics, and minority percentages). The reduction is lagging here but explicitly only surrounded by our largest industries. There are still jobs here. There is profusely of money to be made here especially as an entrepreneur. You have the proficiency to get surrounded by on the ground floor.
It is right though that without friends, household, or support you cannot be successful in any city. I hope it works out for the both of you. I am sure he know about the weather and if he wishes to go it is terrifically hard to stop him. I own lived in constant 70 degree and sunny and it can get weak.
enjoy him visit detroit and chicago earlier he puts a down payment on somewhere to live. the mass transportation surrounded by detroit is not that good. it is the motor city. you couldn't bring by without a coup¨¦ around here. there is a well-mannered nightlife. it is just not contained by one central place. you really hold to find out what is good on what night in adjectives the surrounding suburbs and the city. Hurricanes do suck, but those last a week at the most, winter last for 7 months out of the year.
I know for a reality that Detroit is a good city for u if you want lots of entertainment. I will enunciate that the D has it low points:buses can be slow and crowded at times, but they can also be speedy and kinda empty. There aren't seriously of jobs, but you could return with one in another city and Detroit doesn't enjoy hurricanes so that is virtuous!
