Portland OR or Seattle or what??
Moved to Boston area just now. No can do. Portland OR or Seattle WA? Discuss.?
I moved to the Boston area just now and after visiting NYC and living here for a while I've granted the north east is just not my style. I lived within Phoenix AZ for 5 years, LA for 2 years, and San Fran area for 17 years (which is nice but far too expensive).
The nouns I've liked the most is the northwest. I hold family here and I've stayed there for long period of time, so I think I own a good view of what its like.
My query is as a creative (musical) gay man which city would you pick? Seattle or Portland?
I think the relatives in the northwest are route more laid back close to me . . . this whole north eastern overly knowledgeable way of acting is getting mature, and I just dont ruminate the area is for me. Plus northwest is much cheaper and the reward rate is similar for my job (cat scan).
Just want some opinion.

I love Portland way more than Seattle; it have more personality and is smaller amount congested. It has adjectives the good stuff of a huge metropolis (culture, stuff to do, great restaurants, etc), minus the bad stuff (expensive, crowded, HORRIBLE traffic, etc). But, as a gay man and an artist, Seattle might suit you better since it's a larger city, and and so probably has a larger gay community and musician community. Both cities are really liberal, so any way you'll relish it for sure.
Reading your cross-examine and seeing all the places you enjoy been, I would say-so Seattle is the better choice. You will need some culture and Portland have none.
Now if you were a being moving from Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, or Iowa then I would read aloud that Portland may be more to your liking since you would not be expecting much.
Yep, for you without a doubt that you are going to be happier in Seattle.
Hello? Did you ask about a place for a gay man? Seattle on Capitol mount. There are even some gay-friendly churches that would welcome your musical talent.
As far as other things are concerned, you have not given plenty information on what you are looking for. People have their own opinion on whether Seattle or Portland is better, but it's based on personal interests. Perhaps you would own better luck if you listed some of yours.
I would go beside Seattle myself, but only because one of my favorite TV shows, Grey's Anatomy, is near. It seems close to an interesting place to live, I wouldn't mind living there myself.
Seattle, bigger city and more to do.
I live outside Portland and dont resembling it here. too much traffic ,crime, wish i could move to Seattle, my relatives approaching it there and i resembling visiting near.
My vote is for Seattle. Of course, that may be because I hold never been to Portland...:)
I loved Seattle. I am a Texas girl but Seattle really won me over. If I could move nearby I would. I love downtown and how you can just win out and walk. The weather is duly nice-temperature wise. Even when it rain, it is just a constant sprinkle.
Seattle is adjectives and artsy. There are so many things to do...
I would say SEATTLE! this a great city you will love it too!
I've lived contained by Portland for the past 6 years and I'm planning on moving to Seattle. Portland really is a nice place to settle down and live, but after 6 years it can be boring. The traffic within the Seattle area is worse than Portland and Portland have better public transit, but there are frequent more things to do in Seattle.
Sometimes though the Pacific Northwest can be TOO adjectives - there isn't a sense of urgency sometimes when you want within to be.
