I would choose to stay in a bed and breakfast on Whidbey Island. There are too heaps to choose from with prices varying from satisfactory to absurd. Anacortes is a wonderful town to pop in. I just love the landscape and the tranquility of the island. When we lived in that nouns, my husband and I used to find excuses to go in that..it is well worth it. It's not far from Seattle, so you could also clutch a day to stir sightseeing in downtown Seattle.
However, here are a lot of really great hotels contained by downtown Seattle as well, near lots of shopping and attractions close by. It really just depends on what sort of experience you are looking for.

I spent my wedding darkness at the Sorrento Hotel - a boutique hotel on First Hill. It was great!
The Inn at the Market could be a well turned-out place to stay - right in the Pike Place Market. Rates are dignified however, especially in summer high-ranking season.
The Alexis Hotel on 1st avenue is also nice, as are the Westin, the Fairmont Olympic, the Edgewater. The Mayflower Park has smaller rooms, but is within the center of the action and might own more reasonable rates.
What to do? Visit Pike Place Market. If you are into music, travel to the Experience Music Project at Seattle Center. Go to the top of the Space Needle (the restaurant on top is a nice place to splurge for a special meal also). Take a Ferry ride to Bainbridge Island and final. Visit the Ballard Locks and watch the boats going through the locks and the fish climb the fish stepladder. Rent a rowboat at the Center for Wooden Boats and peek into the houseboats (setting for Sleepless surrounded by Seattle) on Lake Union.
Like Sports? See if the Mariners are in town while you are here and lug in a winter sport. Browse through Eliott Bay Bookstore in Pioneer Square. Visit the ingenious Starbucks in Pike Place Market, but after get a cup of coffee at any of hundreds of independant local coffee shops in the neighbourhood by.

The Vintage Park Hotel is best for Downtown - it have Tulio's Restaurant.
For the Waterfront - go to the Waterfront Marriott and chomp through at The Fish Club.
The Best Restaurant in Seattle is Rovers on Madison Street. Reservation is a must.
It depends on your style..for something more modern I would recommend the Hotel 1000 on 1st Ave. It includes the Boka Kitchen & Bar which is a wonderful place to eat, and it's within the heart of the city, only 1-2 blocks from the waterfront.
If you are interested contained by something more regal, the Fairmont is a gorgeous hotel and offer many dining option such as the Georgian Room. This will be closer to the shopping establishments such as the downtown Seattle Pacific Place mall, and the terrifically first Nordstrom.
If you would like something more boutique=like, a great place would be any Hotel Andra, or Hotel Max.
Also, the new Pan Pacific Seattle (a Japan-based hotel), just this minute opened and oodles people enjoy been severely pleased with the location which is closer to Lake Union (where you can boat, capture on a hydroplane, etc).
