No California I have be there greatly and no New York have lived near before and same near chicago. Any suggestions.

Texas is filled near six flags and water parks... I'm not sure if you're looking for a loved ones vacation or what, but I'd look up some stuff nearby, it's fun w/ or w/o a family...
