Traveling to the Javits Center from New Jersey . . .?

We are going to a conference at the Javit Center. We were thinking of staying contained by Jersey City or North Bergen because the cost of hotels is so much less and parking at lots of the hotels is free. So if we did this, would we be able to use public transportation to bring back to the Javits Center quickly and short getting lost?

Answers:
Yes you can take public transportation from Jersey City or North Bergen to the Javits Center. Here's who to carry from point A to point B.

If you staying in Jersey City, give somebody a lift the PATH Train from Pavonia-Newport Station to 33rd Street. When you exit the PATH station at 33rd Street, walk one block north to 34th Street and clutch the M34 bus westbound (toward the Hudson River) to the Javits Center.

If your staying in North Bergen, transport the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail North Bergen Line from Tonnelle Avenue to Hoboken Terminal. At Hoboken Terminal, transfer to the PATH Train to 33rd Street. Once at 33rd Street, tramp one block north to 34th Street and take the M34 bus westbound to the Javits Center.

Fares
Hudson-Bergen Light Rail (North Bergen Line): $ 1.90 respectively way per human being.
PATH Rail: $ 1.50 each agency per person
NYC Bus (M34): $2 respectively way per party

Now, a few things to memtion about the HBLR. The buoyant rail operate on a "proof of purchase" system, so when buying your ticket, make sure you hold it stamped at the station were you're boarding and hold on to it because it will be inspected by a accomplice of the railway police.

On the PATH Rail, you can purchase a QuickRide/MetroCard combination card for use on both the PATH and the bus. My advice is put extra money on the card, because when you verbs to the bus, you will be charged an addional 50 cents on the bus.

I hope this information is very nifty. Good Luck.

pedestrian area train will be your best way to bring back into the city from jersey, it's only a train ride away
Actually, if you are staying in Jersey City or North Bergen, another interesting prospect may be to take the NY Waterway take from the Port Imperial Ferry terminal (the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail has a Port Imperial stop) to Manhattan.

The ship drops you off at West 39th Street by the West Side Highway. Directly right across the street is the Javits Center!

The fare is $7.50 and the transfer leaves every 10 - 20 minutes (depending on what time you leave) and only take 8 minutes from dock to dock.

I don't believe you can walk up W. 39th Street since they did close the street..but step up W. 40th and make that right.

It's distinctly something different and pretty cool..checking out the NYC scenery surrounded by the water.
north Bergen is close to the Lincoln Tunnel, so you better take the buss to Javits center. I know that the bus station is not that far from the palace hotel within north bergen.
In Jersey City lug the Path train. In Bergen County go to Fort Lee to steal the bus. The Javits Center is on the West Side Highway. You could walk to it from the Port Authority Bus Station on 41st Street or from Penn Station on 33rd Street. Just team leader west toward the Hudson River.
