Travel between LA and Dallas, Texas?
What are the options as far as travelling between LA and Dallas? I am considering travelling by train one agency and flying back? We are probably heading to the USA from Australia within Dec/Jan. What airlines do people recommend flying near? Any other tips/advice on what to see would also be great. Thanks.

We moved from the LA area to Dallas a year ago, and drove here. It be a full 2 days' drive, but not a hard drive; and you can drive long-gone the Grand Canyon ... We've flown back & forth MANY times (I own daughters here and in California) and own used both American Airlines and AirWest into DFW. Southwest now flies into Love Field, and sometimes have the best rates... otherwise, just step with who's rates are best for the times you want to travel. If you're in actuality flying outside the city proper of LA, you might to consider Burbank Airport (San Fernando Valley), John Wayne (Orange County), or Ontario (Riverside/San Bernardino). The rates WILL differ for the different airports (sometimes lower, sometimes higher - and adjectives will have different rates:), but it's SO much easier to acquire in/out of one of them, rather than LAX. For example, if you're going to Disneyland, next you definitely want to try John Wayne, or even Ontario (your travel agent can comfort you with what airport is best for you ). I hope you hold a wonderful time! You've picked 2 very diverse cities (and I REALLY prefer Dallas:)... If you enjoy the time, while you're in LA, you might consider a weekend contained by San Francisco or Las Vegas (each are 1 hr. plane flights, and you can usually find $49 tickets on Southwest)..
AA would be best, American Airlines, DFW is a major hub for AA, flights adjectives day long.
