YES WE STAYED THERE IN 2000, I T WAS A REALLY BAD HOTEL, THE TOLIET DIDN'T WORK, THE WATER SLIDE WAS DOWN, THE FOOD WAS AWFUL, COULDN'T EVEN GET A MIXED DRINK,(BLENDER WAS BROKE) UNLESS THEY HAVE MADE ALOT OF UPDATES,I WOULD NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN, WE GO TO ORLANDO EVERY YEAR
Have you looked at trip advisor? It's a great site for checking out hotels since you book. There's lots of reviews of the Sheraton Safari.

Wow I am really surprised by anne T's answer! I stayed there surrounded by 2001 and again in 2003 and be quite impressed! They must hold made major change since 2000. It is a fun atmosphere for both children and parents, however, it can be a bit pricey. For the same price, you could stay at a Moderate Disney Resort such as Coronado Springs or the Port Orleans Resorts (approximately $145 a darkness on up). Or, save a bit of money and stay at a Disney Value Resort ($89 a night) or past its sell-by date property at the Nickelodean Resort ($114 a night) or the Best Western Lakeside ($69-$89 a night contained by the off mount season).

I have be there twice. It's highly close to the entrance to Downtown Disney Market Place and a shopping center with plenty of cuff restaurants. Also nearby is Dunkin Donuts so you can take hold of a quick, cheap breakfast. The rooms are big and the bed are queen sized. The pool has a snake waterslide. I similar to it, but I like staying on Disney property too, so we usually squeeze into a touch room at the Pop Century. Cramped, but closer to the mice.
