Mild rollercoaster misgivings.?
So on tuesday were going to our senior breakfast at my university. Were going to knotts berry farm. Anyway. Im not exceedingly fond of rollercoasters. I have a so so horror of them..everytime i think nearly them...i get uneasy. Dont get me wrong, ive gotten on rides...dampen rides. But nonetheless the water rides i get have dropps and spins. and after the huge drops, i looked-for to go on them again. Though they drops be nothing compared to let say Ghost rider, they be still pretty high, (the higest one i get on was in the order of 3 stories high)But then after a while i obtain nervous again. Any proposal that can calm me down.

I would pefer coasters beside straps around the body not only the handrail thingy which the coasters with more protection on would allow you to have a feeling more safe
U have a few choices:
1) You can simply accept that u don't soak up going 100 mph, upside down, and just explain to ur friends, "Sorry, I don't do rollercoasters">
2) U can sit next to a friend and bury your frontage in their knees.
3) u can just be in motion on the ride and be scared, but remember, you're supposed to be have fun.
4) U can go on a smaller coaster.
5) I loathe roller coasters but went on the coaster at Disney World contained by Florida and because the coaster was within the dARK, it didn't bother me at all-of course, their were no upside down loops.
Have fun.
I speak to myself dont be a pussy... and imagine a girl you resembling was beside you and you cant chicken out
That's funny I used to have like problem with person able to be in motion on water stuff but not roller coasters. The entity I realized though be that it's almost the same article, probably safer, and the drops on a roller coaster are a lot more fun.
The best piece to do is just force yourself to travel on one ride and after that you'll be fine. For the last few years I own been a roller coaster enthusiast, but I still have to carry the jitters out with one preliminary ride formerly I start having fun.
i am startled to death of roller coasters but if i be you, i would try going on a medium or small one first and work your style uup. if you get really timorous, just close your eyes and assume of something comforting.
I used to enjoy the polar opposite problem to yours: I loved rollercoasters, but couldn't tolerate water rides (I other felt the urge to pee while riding them - I never did, thank goodness). Roller coasters are vastly fun. It's best to work up your courage by starting with something smaller, similar to say a wooden coaster (if that's an option), instead of, read out, the biggest coaster at the park.
Even after years of riding coasters, I still get that timorous feeling surrounded by the pit of my stomach, but that's part of the thrill. Once you swot up to enjoy the adrenaline rush (it sounds resembling you're well on your means of access, given your experience with marine rides) you'll be sure to have a blast.
Ah, I've have the same problem. Every time I see an "intimidating" ride, I hold second thoughts. A couple things can help promise with this:
1. If you hold any friends with you, try riding next to them.
2. From the time you get within line to the time the ride is moving, try to save conversation going. It /can/ help nick your mind off the situation.
3. It might nouns stupid, but take low, even breaths. It sometimes helps :).
I hope these tips support, I'm still afraid of "extreme" rides myself, but I'm usually pretty happy once I've ridden it once.
