Is Chicago an affordable place to live?? What are some average prices of studios/1-bedroom apartments??
I'm looking for a 1-bedroom maybe a studio that's accessible to public transportation...a 2-3 mile waddle isn't a problem.
I want to live in a pretty-well kept place. and within an area that's not too crime-ridden.

Rent totally depends on where on earth you live, its about location.
You will own to fork over major dough to live within Lincoln Park or Wrigleyville.
Cheaper areas are Edgewater and Rogers park..but you have to think twice, some parts of these neighborhoods arent great, but yes the rents are lower than say Lincoln Park...and Edgewater is in close proximity public transportation [the elevated train ]..a nice thing something like these two areas is that theyre close to the lake, you can enjoy an aptmnt with a sea view.
Have you looked into the south loop nouns? ..lots of condos there.. devout area too..
I lived Ãn a junior one bedroom for $850, and a studio for $625 when I lived contained by Lincoln Park. I moved to the $625 place and saved for a condo within the same neighborhood. I loved it!
