Going on holidays subsequent September to San Diego can't resolve on Mission Bay or La Jolla?

La Jolla is profusely more expensive--some of the highest priced houses surrounded by the US are in LJ, and a great deal of deposed heads of government live there. Stay surrounded by Mission Bay and it'a a quick drive to LJ anyway!
UCSD is also within LJ, lots of science majors there--in September it will also have more of a stern to school thought, rather than time off time.
(But La Jolla Shores is my favorite beach. Doesn't help yourself to long to drive there, though.)
Go to La Jolla, they hold nice beaches and spectacular sceneries.. Plus, if you're a shopper. They hold lots of cool stores to shop from..
Both are nice places to stay. As the previous answer stated, Mission Bay is more centrally located to other fun things to do contained by San Diego. Both have great hotels.and some right on the sand. If you don't live near the the deep, I'd recommend a beach hotel.

Depends on what you're into. La Jolla is great if you want to shop and have open pockets, and don't care to do much else. Mission Bay is closer to downtown and other attractions resembling the zoo, Balboa Park and SeaWorld. For me, this would be an easy choice - Mission Bay. You can also rent a boat or jetski here. Plus, near are lots of shops willing to nick your money at Seaport Village or Horton Plaza. And the beaches surrounded by La Jolla aren't any better. Go and enjoy!
la jolla! mission bay/beach is trashy. mission has a roller coaster and a bunch of shops and stuff but la jolla is nicer.
