Stewart to NYC.easiest method?
With Skybus announcing flight service from Columbus to Stewart, NY I was wondering what the easiest method for getting into the city would be? I get there is a metro north train that go to Grand Central..can you buy one of those 1 day subway pass to catch this train to Grand Central, or is that a completely seperate entity?
Answers:
There is no public transportation at Stewart. You would have to rent a saloon or take a minicab to Poughkeepsie or Cornwall to get on any Amtrak or Metro North.
Get a cab and ask to travel to the Short Line Bus terminal in Newburgh...not that far from Stewart. From in attendance you can take a bus down (Short Line/Coach USA) to Port Authority (41st Street & 8th Avenue) contained by New York City.
Fare is $18.75
From Stewart airport you can detain the shuttle bus run by Leprechaun Bus Lines for $1. It will take you to the Beacon Metro North Station where on earth you can catch the train to Grand Central. You cannot use a metro card for the train...you want to buy a ticket which you can pay for near a metro card if there is a go together on it.

No. Metro-North is separate from the subway, and considerably more expensive.
As of several years ago:
Some Metro-North stations sell tickets. At the stations that own a person selling tickets, you can wages with brass or credit card. Some stations either do not put up for sale tickets or have lone a vending machine (which does not appropriate checks). Tickets can also be purchased on the train. On the train, they take lolly and checks (but might not take credit cards). If you board at a station that have a human ticket seller on duty, but do not buy a ticket back you board the train, you pay an extra charge for buying the ticket on the train instead of at the station. If you board at a station that does not trade tickets, this charge does not apply.
Not sure what your question is.
The metro north is a train not a subway. You can buy a ticket on the train to Grand Central.
You can buy subway pass in Grand Central when you receive there.
I hope I answered your interrogate.)
