It's not that the drivers are bad its the confusion of the roads and what lane culture need to be in/ which streets are one ways/ construction confusion...so empire from around the area know what they inevitability to do/where they need to be and win frustrated when people who are not from around here or not fascinated get lost or don't know what they're doing directions-wise...your best bet is probably not getting a vehicle and taking the T and with gas prices so big the subway is cheaper
I focus the problem is more that the roads in Boston are not designed for tourists! They are severely twisty, windy, and in attendance is really no form of "blocks" that make getting around places close to NYC fairly undemanding. Plus, parking is expensive and there's construction everywhere. If you're lost, it will be difficult to find out how to get pay for where you be, and if you drive too slow, you're going to get honked at. The drivers aren't desperate, they're just impatient near slow people. We're New Englanders and we're other in a rush! :)
However, Boston is FANTASTIC for walking. I live surrounded by NH and LOVE to take the train surrounded by to the city. I rely on the T (subway) and simply walking from place to place. Things are actually really close to one another, and I've other felt safe and sound walking in the city. The T will thieve you just roughly anywhere, and it is also quite risk-free and easy to use. The locals will give a hand you if you're confused, too.
Enjoy your trip! Welcome to Boston--you'll love it!
Massachusetts drivers tend to be more aggressive that contained by other parts of the country. If you are coming for the red sox, definitely DO NOT rent a saloon. You wont be able to park it practical Fenway anyway. There is no need to hold a car within Boston if you stay in a hotel essential a T station. I would not say driving is too precarious, but it is harder to get around surrounded by a car. The roads are not on a grid similar to many cities, so its unforced to get lost. There is fundamentally little parking available, so parking for a game is around $45, and traffic is horrible.
We sure can be. but the difference between a driver from San Diego as opposed to a beantown driver is at lowest possible a southern cali drivers actually know what they are doing.
