Fun things for family to do surrounded by Kauai? With two year weak...?

The beachl..one big sand box
trust me, once you get to the island, the singular thing that you'll want to do is tale on the beach
but if you do establish that you wish to if truth be told do something, there is in actual fact an attraction where you can transport a flume through a shut down sugar mill. I can't remember for the life of me the first name of it, but I've heard that it is extremely interesting. You also may want to see the sights- especially Waimea Canyon. The sights from the top are without doubt gorgeous. It may be a long drive to the top, but if you're going to go to Kauai, later you'll definately have to see this.
Don't be afraid to move about off road, and do some extra exploring (be sure to rent a 4-WD vehicle if you can). I importantly reccomend the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook- best guidebook ever for Hawaii.
And if you do get some time (and money) for an expensive dinner, in need a doubt, go to the Roy's on the south shore. There, you will find some of the best food you hold ever experienced (with a price tag to game, though)
All in adjectives, remember not to be stressed, and stay relaxed!
Here's the thing abuot vacationing next to a 2 year old... they aren't going to delight in the usual touristy things, like driving around the island, enjoy the beautiful view. So you have to tailor things to what a 2 year antediluvian enjoys doing. Fortunately, it's pretty straightforward to have fun doing those sorts of things. similar to making sand castles on the coast or splashing in the hotel pool. And probably he or she will forty winks in the carseat (mandatory) & you can savour the drive up to Waimea Canyon or to Hanalei. Do remember to bring heavy duty sunscreen as little ones burn slickly in the Hawaiian sun.
GO ON A HIKE
There aren't a lot of attractions for small children on Kauai, and so far your best bet is Kamalani playground at Lydgate Beach park. The playground is a fully clad size, my two year old loves it, and it's right subsequent to Lydgate Beach where your little one, and the rest of your family connections, can safely swim surrounded by a rock enclosed pool. There's for a time kid's pool and a bigger pool that's great for beginner snorkeling, and it never get deeper than about 5 foot. Aloha Beach resort would be the best place to stay for this because you can walk to the park and the sand daily if you considered necessary to, but it's currently under renovation, you may want to look into that.
Other than that, of late driving around the island and seeing some of the sights. There aren't any theme parks or big rides or attractions aimed at kids this childlike, though there's a neat toy shop contained by Poipu called Sand Kids that may hold some things to interest him. Good luck.
