Answers:
I similar to Houston. Look up Ebony Magazine and they'll consistently rate Houston in the top 10. I'm an dated white boy BTW. The pluses include the best seafood in the world. Fishing is apt. Galveston is closeby. The art museum is a joke.

Where to live? Somebody else will own to tell you that. The demographics conveyance so rapidly near it is astonishing. Ask somebody about Bellaire. Overnight it become Spanish-speaking.

Houston is a medical city. Steer clear of Jefferson Memorial nuthouse. University of Houston is rated by the American Psychological Association.

Jazz Festivals. Big nickname concerts. Ballet. All the performing arts rival Dallas, yet Houston is never as class-conscience as DFW. Houston is more blue collar than white collar but close satisfactory to the ocean that informal dress mixes near formal.

Crime is overbearing there. You must survey yourself. Not dangerous, costly. If I be you, I'd seek out other opinion about what nouns of town, get you a nicer apartment to revise about commuting in the city and leave your big stuff in storage rear in TN until you fell comfortable within a more permanent residence. I put the accent on I do like Houston, but even the police be aware of overwhelmed. Personally, I would own a handgun for around the house. I don't mean to terrify you. I feel more positives than negative. I'm not there, living right in a minute, but if I was, you'd be invited over for a backyard cookout.

Good luck. I reason you could do more there.
For Professionals, like yourselves, I would suggest any Rosenburg, Sugarland, or Spring, Texas.they are all a chunk of Houston. In the medical field that you and your spouse are contained by, there should be no problem finding employment and furthering your training. Texas Children Hospital, surely could use someone with your credentials. Good Luck
Are in that any good job for psychology or childcare graduates, if so where on earth if you know?
Need more information. You say you are right out of college. What form of training do you have surrounded by psycology? Are you a counselor, therapist etc... You obligation a license from the state of TX to work in that role.

Are near any good school for continuing our education?
University of Houston have 3 campuses within Houston
Rice University
University of St. Thomas
Houston Bapistist University

And Houston being such a massive city means we hold several weekend campuses for primary universities approaching Univeristy of TX and Tulane.

What areas should we live in?
I enjoy always lived inside the loop. This refers to the center of the city inside the freeway send for Loop 610. Until you really get to know Houston you may want to be centally located. If you do requirement to commute for work you will be moving against traffic.

What is there to do in attendance for leisure?
This is a big city, in attendance any type of leisure you may be into. We hold a theatre district, a museum district, zoo, the coast in 1 hour away, a massively small network of slog and bike trails, Lake Conroe, professional sports, rodeo, etc...

I'm not African American so bar the MLK Day Parade and the Junteeth events I don't know of any more. The local African American newspaper is the Forward Times.

Is it a polite place to raise a loved ones & live for good?
Yes.
Apply at any arts school district. Plenty of jobs out at hand.

I don't know anything about Lakewood, human being of a different denomination.

Greater Houston has a population over 5 million. Houston itself is just about 2 million.

Crime is a sore point, thanks to 150,000 Katrina refugee who refuse to find jobs or shift home.

Houston has an International Festival specifically huge.
I moved here from NY city a couple years ago, it's a pretty nice city and there are job available, the site below is a good resource.

- defenetly kingwood/hunble if like honest skools and a small but active town. also close to the airport and pious priced homes

- if ur used to the city try it near downtown or within the galeria are, its sooooo butifull, close to cute shops and resturants.

- if ur rich or highclass woodlands is the place 4 u

- if u like the beach/ocean try it effective kima or galveston

- if ur like a stepford wife, move about to sugar land.

- i strongly recomend kingwood/humble or the galleria nouns, its ur best bet
Austin, Texas was timetabled ast the best place to live.
Houston is a cesspool. The crime is horrible & so is the traffic. If you approaching sweating your butt off, inhabitants who can't drive or speak English by all money check it out. I lived here almost 32 years & I'm ready to move up to mountains surrounded by Colorado. I'd look into Denver, Albequrque, or if you're into African American culture there's also St. Louis. I'm not trying to influence you against H town I'n giving you fair qualification..Visit (a) your own risk!

There are some good suburbs to bump up kids but most of them are on the outskirts where it's also more expensive: examples: League City, Clear Lake, Woodlands & Sugarland.

FYI: Lakewood is a bogus overcrowded Church: It USED to be the Summit where on earth all the great rock concerts be held but NOOO more. No offense but it's a superificial church as most are~
Psychologists and teacher can easily find job in the masses school districts within the Houston area: Katy ISD, Tomball ISD, Klein ISD, Spring ISD, Aldine ISD, Cy-Fair ISD (the best), Houston ISD to dub a few.

Colleges in the nouns: Houston Baptist University, St. Thomas, University of Houston, Prairie View A&M, University of Texas at Austin (2 1/2 hour commute); Texas a&m University (90-mile commute).

NW Harris county is where I live, next to newer homes, no city taxes as many of the areas aren't inside any city limits.

Leisure: museums, aquarium, close by Galveston with it's history and beach, cinemas, live theater with Broadway debut; professional football, baseball, men and women's basketball, hockey.

Yes, the Osteen's family church is located contained by Houston.

Lakewood what? - the church - no, I don't personally.

Big events: professional and college athletic events, International Festival, Art Car play, major holiday parade, etc.

Population of people? Do you expect ethnicity - we are a melting pot.

Our crime rate is no worse than any other metropolitan nouns.

I was raise here and I turned out fairly in good health!
Forget Houston, move to Austin TX! Check it out online
Although I think Austin is a better city than Houston. Houston ranks as one of the best cities for African Americans. The North and West sides of Houston are usually the best. Crime is not the WORST contained by America but knowing where not to be in motion and taking precautions will help because nearby is no need to be paranoid.
