Disneyland Anaheim query?
how bad is the traffic scene at disneyland on a typical weekend? i am weigh possibilities of -
1) staying in a hotel on walking distance from the park - expensive hotels
2) staying for a while farther and driving there - time fruitless in traffic & parking.
would anybody share their experiences and opinion please?

Traffic to Disneyland isn't too bad on the weekend, especially if you're up and nearly early. There are different entrances to the park: Harbor Blvd and Disneyland Drive. If you do opt to drive, I'd head straight for the parking structure on Disneyland Drive. Though at hand may be some traffic into the structure, because there's a lot of parking in attendance, traffic moves rather briskly. There's a tram that will take you to the entrance of the parks.
Tip: If you enjoy your tickets before you arrive, you can certainly enter the park in Downtown Disney via the Monorail. This is a nice course to bypass the crowds at the main entrance. So when you capture off the tram, don't follow the crowd to the entrance, turn right, instead. You'll hold to pass a few stores along the course, but it may well store you from the headache of the crowd.
FYI, if you stay at a hotel that is not inwardly walking distance, but within the hinterland, most have shuttle service to the parks.
I live about a partially of a mile from Disneyland. There are a lot of affordable hotel practical by within walking distance. I would pick one that provides free shuttle. After spending 12-14 hours on your foot it is nice to set down.
I have be to several event where I aspiration Disneyland personnel were within charge of emptying the parking lot. They know what they are doing! Getting surrounded by and out is a breeze. Parking is about $10 a daylight in the parking garage. You still own to shuttle between garage and parks.

When I went to Disneyland Anaheim traffic be just the typical California traffic. The solitary thing that slowed my group up be the gates. There are just so many gate open so it take a little while to report through. Also you have to salary just to park, but I cogitate staying farther away and driving wouldn't waste too much more time and you can't whip the money you save.
Disneyland is not that desperate as traffic is concerned
I think it would probably be better to stay further away. you will win to experience the touristic spots of LA...
Staying in Hollywood is a accurate option, even though, unless you know Hollywood resourcefully, going out at night is somewhat sketchy.
here are some honest options:
Renaissance Hollywood Hotel
- Very nice, close some shopping [Hollywood and Highland]. Although the price is a little lofty, but it is worth it.
Magic Castle
- This hotel is a landmark and is bubble-like from the "streets". The prices are moderate.
Hollywood is about 1 hour away from Disneyland WITH traffic.
Beverly Hills is another suitable option, although plentiful people believe they will see celebrity, its good if you own deep pockets and want to shop seriously. Its very verbs, and safe.
There are a ton of right places to stay.
just for a while research will go a long style.

Disneyland is a crowded, hot, expensive park.
It cost 70 dollars for citizens over the age of 10.
If you go on a Monday or Tuesday, you may carry lucky.

I stayed at the Park Vue Inn. It be cheap and directly across the street from the Disneyland entrance (walking distance of about 5-10 minutes). It be a shorter walk to our hotel than to any of the Disney resorts. The bed were a bit sturdy, but the room was hulking and had a fridge.There be a complimentary breakfast and a restaurant next door (possibly an IHOP?). I didn't use the pool at adjectives; it wasn't anything to rave about and I didn't hold time. I would definately stay there again to recover money.
omg i love ANaheim we went their and stayed at The Sunshine it be close to the Park!! traffic.not so bad. at the hotel described its just about 200/night cheap huh? its worth it it has a pool on the roof breakfast next to minnie, mickey ,and the gang,.totally worth it! :D $.$ or buy a condo
the first question,is are you newly visiting disney? if so, afterwards traffic is not that bad if you are from Chicago. however in attendance are plenty of little hotels within walking distance or basically a short drive from aneheim.
if you are planning to visit Universal Studios or Six Flags or any other services, I would stay closer to the other facilities.

Stay close. There are cheap hotels inside walking distance to Disneyland. Stay to the SE of the east entrance. I've heard parking at Disneyland is expensive, so anything money you're trying to save on the hotel, you'll probably freshly spend on parking anyway.
Well.you should definitely run with (1) and progress with a close hotel i freshly went to Disneyland not to long ago and getting into Disneyland is the worst! Long,Long line-up but we waited contained by line just about 20-30minute I'd say!

If you're from out of town, I would recommend staying closer to the subject matter park and enjoying your time near thoroughly.
I only visited Disney contained by Feb and we stayed at the Howard Johnson's about 1 block from Disney. Great room, rates, close to ingestion places as well. When I return, I will stay in attendance again as it's very close walking distance.
Disneyland hotel seems pretty angelic it pretty close so is pradise pier (which is the cheapest one) then the Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is the dearest but it located contained by the calfornia adventure park which is contrasting disneyland. check this site out.

I other recommend the Candy Cane Inn and the Howard Johnson (HoJo). While some hotels are closer, these two are very close to the front entrance, so you can bearing back to the hotel for a swim or a rest in the afternoon. They are a step above the other hotels surrounded by the immediate nouns in vocabulary of rooms, service, pool, and value.

Parking can be a authentic pain. We've taken up to an hour to park at times.
Parking isn't bad at adjectives, but the enterance will take 5-10 mins of stop and budge. I'd go near option 1.
I'm from the nouns and so, I always parked in attendance. Traffic really isn't so bad as it is contained by other places.
Stay in a motel not so close to the park, as the rates are much smaller quantity expensive. Most will offer courtesy transportation to Disneyland. This will recover you about 15 bucks a sunshine. I know from seeing the buses go in that.

We stayed contained by a hotel near it, so it wasn't too too bleak
i suggest staying somewhere else and drive to the parking structure. but it might be a bit busy
i would say 1is the best
