Can someone recommend some sights within NYC for kids?
Taking my six-year old to NYC surrounded by May, looking for some suggestions. We'll have two days to spend within Manhattan.

A six year old will probably close to Museum of Natural History more than the Metropolitan. It is next to the Park.
There's clearly no shortage of amazing experiences for a six-year hoary in New York. For a cheap, prompt, but amazing experience, try taking a ride on the Roosevelt Island tram. $2 buys you a four-minute cable car ride high-ranking over Manhattan and the East River with sweeping view of the city. When you complete the return trip, you''ll be right next to Serendipity3, where on earth you can ply yourselves silly with heap portions of ice cream surrounded by a toy shop atmosphere.
Go to the Central Park Zoo, the ToysRUs in Times Square (it have a ferris wheel inside),and Dylan's Candy Bar (it's a really cool candy store)

-New York City Fire Museum
-Transit Museum

All right the really cool sights are:
-The statue of liberty
-The shark (boat ride showing you different things)
-The transit museum (to swot the history of our buses (great for kids and adults you can go within buses and trans to feel how it is to drive one)
-The Empire state building (lines can be long on dutiful days so arrive early)
-Rockefeller (Check out the huge tree in the winter around Christmas)
-FAO shorts (Great shops and food)
-The metropolitan museum (Try to win there back 12:00)
-The museum of natural history (Fanominal museum)
-Grand inner terminal (really cool some times light shows)

The indoor ferris pedals in 44th street within the Time Square area, it is a life-size toy store.
