NYC - Cool bar?
Please recommend some bars to progress to that are not clubby, if you know what I mean. We are going next to a bunch of people, (late 20's) and I merely want to take them somewhere where on earth is big, lots of elbow room but not thumping loud music. Thanks!

Plenty on elbow room, and music, but not loud thumping at Smith's on 8th Ave., a few blocks north of W42nd St., Big neon signs, can't miss it, on the west side of the street.
Head over to the Caliente Cab Company (7th Avenue South - under West 4th...the Village). It's trendy within there, not a club.they brand name KILLER margaritas there!
Plenty of places fit that bill in the settlement.
