Answers:
Redwood is merely live within 50 miles of the pacific coast, you can see a couple within LA( USC, malibu), most in northern california and oregon.
There are a large number of Redwoods surrounded by Muir Woods National Monument - Mount Tamalpais State Park. North of San Francisco, across the Golden Gate Bridge.
Those are "baby" Redwoods compared to my favorite park "Jedediah Smith State Park" near Crescent City California.

Las Vegas is in a desert climate, so at hand won't be any Redwood trees any where close by. Redwoods require a cooler climate with lots of rainfall.
on your course to Vegas, take a slight detour north and budge 563 miles to San Francisco, go across the golden total admission money bridge to mount Tam. I guarantee you will see some redwood trees.
