2 Hotel Questions?
I'm planning on booking a trip to Vegas in delayed August at NYNY and I'm wondering if I book online, at say travelocity, how do I kind sure I get a room i.e. facing the strip and not the back parking lot. From what I make out your room doesn't get assigned until you check surrounded by but is there anything you can do to ensure you acquire a room facing the strip?
Also, does anybody know what the difference between the Skyline, Park Avenue Deluxe, and Broadway rooms at NYNY? They are very similar contained by price and seem hold very similar descriptions online.

You can ask for a room facing the strip but if they over book or something, they can't guarentee it,
Room Quality: Rooms are well-appointed, on par near your typical Hilton. They're mostly small to average in size, though, but what do you expect when you're within New York City?
Skyline is the name of the remnant rooms, and they are about 300 or so s.f., come next to a king or two queens and pretty average bathrooms. The Park avenue rooms are the same size but fancier, especially the bathrooms. If you upgrade to a "Broadway Deluxe" room, it can be as significant as 500 s.f., which is pretty good.
The coolest piece with adjectives the rooms, besides some with great view, is the fact that your room might be within the Empire State Building or the Chrysler Building.
Whatever you do, ask for a room away from the rollercoaster, which rumbles by some rooms and has be known to to be loud. Most rooms are done in earthtones, near two chairs and a table, two queens or one king bed, a bulky armoire, a single sink, a hair dryer, and no mobile. The tiny closets house ironing supplies, and there's a safe right subsequent to them. You can iron up a bunch of fresh shirts, then lock them away for the dark!
There are all sorts of larger suites available for you if you want to money more or are a good sweet-talker at check-in.
If you book with any travel site, you wont know how to specify your room location. So if it is 100% imperative that you have a strip viewpoint then you should book through the hotel and take-home pay the extra.
However, I found that if you book through a travel site and ask nicely at check-in afterwards they may be able to accommodate you if the hotel is not too full.
The other option is to slip a twenty between your CC and Driver's license at check-in and ask if they have any complimentary upgrades available. There are sites devoted to this practice within vegas (look up 20 dollar trick in vegas). It's not guaranteed but you may catch a nicer room.
But you should ask yourself why having a strip attitude is important. I have one last time and I just looked out my window. Generally speaking the just time I was surrounded by the room was to study the hindmost of my eyelids. So while it's nice, you may find it's just not worth booking through the hotel to ensure the scenery.
I've never been lucky ample to stay in NYNY so I can't minister to on the room types. But it is a beautiful hotel to be exact very consistent next to it's theme. Gonzalez Y Gonzalez and ESPN Zone are both great restaurants.

I've stayed at NY NY & I didn't care for it! have problems with the staff. & My grandma have problems with her rooms. She booked 3 rooms for her & ancestral, they didn't have her room all set for 2 hours later than they told her. Then the room have things not there. No soap etc. etc. Just letting you know my thoughts. Good luck!!
The one and only time you are ever assured a room with a vista is if they have a specific catagory of "view" rooms that you reward extra for. Many places in Vegas own this including the Bellagio lakeview rooms and the Venetian view rooms.
Otherwise, your best bet is to do 1 of 2 things at check-in. Firstly, you can simply try to be really nice and say-so something like "Its a special weekend, do you enjoy anything with a strip prospect." If the person trailing the desk is in a pious mood, you will be hooked up. Secondly, you can try the "$20 trick." When you are checking in and they ask for you psyche and cc, slip a $20 in beside them while asking for the view room. This bribe... err tip will work beside surprising regularity even at the best of places. It once scored us a lakefront room at the B. Here is a website dyed-in-the-wool to this fine practice...

When you are booking a room though articulate travelocity or any discount wholesaler, the best thing to do is to phone their call center and speak beside a agent, they can put in your requests, ie: strip scenery, pool view. When making the reservation. Always compare prices, sometimes you can carry a lower rate directly from the hotel, other times it is though the wholesaler, like travelocity, vegas.com. one of the copious other sites that are out there. The hotel directly will not charge any fees, which the wholesaler will, so other check the total after taxes to compare rates.
I love NewYorkNewYork, along near Luxor, these hotels are the best/nicest hotels you can get for the price. With that said, usually you can ask the hotel check-in desk if they hold any hotel rooms that face the strip and that are on the high levels - usually the complex levels ALL enjoy nice views of the strip. Particaular the Park Ave Deluxe rooms and the Chrysler Tower rooms.
The difference between the Skyline, Park Ave Dlxe, and Broadways rooms are purely the design and decor, and to some extent the size and location in the hotel. I would read out that the Park Ave Dlx have the nicest rooms, touch up and is also easy to procure to in the hotel, plus they are slightly bigger. The Skyline and Broadway rooms are not freshen the paint (at least not the closing time I went nearby 4 months ago), but are very nice and usually hold a little better viewpoint of the strip. In truth, all the rooms enjoy easy access - Park Ave newly is in the middle of the hotel. The title of the room really designates the "building" or subdivision of the hotel you will be in - you'll know what I'm chitchat about when you obtain there - instead of east, west and north/south section, they just nickname it building names - resembling the ones you mentioned, in enhancement there are also the Chrysler tower, and Empire Suites/tower.

book your room directly through the hotels network site, prices change normally, and if you see this you can get lower price if booked directly next to hotel..third party booking you are stuck near what you paid no further discount.
