Who's be to New York?
Disappointed or amazed? Did it live up to your expectations?
Everyone says it's wonderful, most amazing city contained by the world yaddy yada. I would just similar to to know because, I would like shift to one day but I also really required to go to Rome. You know, romantic, stunning and when I went, I be so disappointed! (OK, sometimes, the movies carry me away a bit, so Rome and New York seem to be both great!) But Rome wasn't as nice as I thought, it was JUST another city. People running around, cars going through red lights etc etc. Sure, the collosseum be amazing, but that's it, anyway, I'm meant to be asking almost New York lol. You opinions please will be appreciated!

I live an hour away from NYC so I step whenever I get the time. Its similar to visiting cities in a city. Each part...Soho,east rural community, lower, meat packing, upper...they all enjoy different things to offer. You entail to visit near the understanding that you'll NEVER see adjectives of NY in a year.or a week..or a month for that matter!
I was surrounded by New York and I loved it so much. I will definately be going back. Lots to see, do and places to budge. Fab shopping too. Hmm Rome. I never wanted to progress to Italy before and I go to Rome and I absolutely loved it. So much history, the Vatican City, fabulous food. Great place.
i be in foreign york back contained by 1995 and hated it,but i'd run back soon. contained by 1995 i stayed at a ymca for $20 a day. i work at a marriott hotel,bui cant afford to stay at a marriott within new york city, the cheapest one is within orange,nj. damn i cant afford to stay at a marriott,but i could rear legs in 1995
its great, similar to being within a film, especially when flagging a hackney cab. If you do go you should check out Soho (some really cool shops), 5th street and the Ice rink (depending on what time of year you go)

so it's pretty cool if you visit, but as expected it's not as great as hollywood makes it unless you own never been within a big city before.

I live surrounded by commuting distance from NYC; it's a great city, but personally I prefer Boston out of the East Coast's through cities.

NY is great, I am taking my child nearby for her 8th birthday to see little marimaid on broadway
I take her once a year to see a show and look arond.
Most of the time, we shift in a group, and see nil she would like

I live in New York. The big constituent in NYC as far as site seeing is Manhattan. When populace say "the city" they be going to Manhattan. Though, the other boroughs are full of culture and diversity, Manhattan is where adjectives the huge buildings are, etc. Altogether, ALL of NYC is quite attention-grabbing, & I've lived here for all my go. People can be very pushy, however, so don't be surprised but it's not within a mean process, New Yorkers are always contained by a rush for something. Nonetheless, you'll ALWAYS ALWAYS have something to do contained by New York. I hope you enjoy it and you enjoy a good time.
New York is the greatest city surrounded by the world, but it's still a big city and this is real time, so you can't go by what you see surrounded by the movies.
There are problems here like here are in adjectives cities, but what some people don't realize, crime is not a significant one. Of course you want to be alert at all times while within, but NY is now the safest big city surrounded by America and has be for a long time.
New York's biggest problem in my view is affordable housing. There are government programs to relieve the very poor, and the rich are surrounded by a class of their own, but it's very difficult to continue a comfortable lifestyle if you are middle class in NY. More and more neighborhoods are becoming smaller amount and less affordable, and the middle class is getting pushed out.
Anyway, as far as visit NY, I guarantee you will be impressed. It's the biggest and best there is, and everything you want is nearby for the asking. There is a buzz about the place that you cannot deny, you can practically discern the energy. If you dance I am confident you will not be disappointed.
I love Rome too, by the way. I suppose maybe your problem is that you idealize it too much and that's why you were disappointed. It's a city beside city type problems. This is real life span, so there is no where on earth on earth where on earth those things don't exist. The trade off is apprehension that with those problems comes some of the best things that the world have to offer, things that can solely be found in cities approaching NY and Rome.

It's great to visit, but living here isn't anything approaching in the movies.
