Is $8000 ample to move to Alaska beside?
I am quitting my job, selling my furniture and driving through Canada. I am going to find a available job when I get up near, stay at a hostel till I find a place to live and enjoy the outdoors. Any warning?

Depends on how long you necessitate that money to last. Just moved to Anchorage 4 days ago. It's VERY expensive here. I've lived contained by Cali and on the east coast, which is expensive too but this takes the cake. Rooms aren't to bleak, as far a price but fast food and grocery store prices are just about double compared to any place else in the US. Went to WalMart yesterday because WalMart is usually cheap everywhere. Nope...double the price!! Also, if you want a obedient decent duty. You have to be an Alaskan resident. I've be searching for county/city/state job and you must be a resident to even apply. Just know what your getting into first. Hope this helps.
good team game plan!! I wish you okay on your new mission of self- discovery, and it was one I required to take at the age of 27. I deliberate 8,000$ should be enough, especially if u work from place to place and use the $ for gas/food, and chomp through in shelters, Salvation armies, ( I knoe, you may not approaching it but it will help u on your latest pathway, not to mention, save u $$$) and use your money logically. I think u will do ably, and great travelling! PS, I hear that the sunsets are AWESOME in Alaska! See one for me, will you?
